Cameron Clark to OUHoops Board: No I'm not a bust

I spoke with Cam dad today and asked him what he thought about Cams last two games, and he said he had a long talk with Cameron Tuesday nite about the way he had been playing.Cam dad said he told him to start back having fun and the goal is still 10ft just like was when he played at Sherman High.

Glad Cam's dad had that talk with him. OU needs Cam to play fearless on both ends and to be this guy:

I'd love to see him start to break guys down off the dribble and then drain the midrange J. We've seen that a few times the past two games.

I have not seen this vid til now. Dayum! That dunk to end it was absolutely filthy. I felt violated just watching it. :clap

Wait, I haven't been on the board much so help me out...

There were posters on this board suggesting Cam Clark was a bust, a few games into his freshmen season?

These people are still allowed to post here, or steal oxygen from the rest of us??

ha ha you are lucky to have missed troll central.

Of course the one game I havent watched this year Cameron Clark comes alive! But, that is great news for this season and the future.

:clap:clap

.....Just add Cam to the growing list of players who have been subject to knee jerk reactions from the Sooner message board experts. Remember: Blake Griffin doesn't look like a dominant player, David Godbold shouldn't be playing D-1, Cade Davis is not a Big 12 starter, etc... Heck you could even go back into history and find gems like: OU wasted a scholly on Stacy King( said during his frosh yr), etc....

Cam is just a frosh, and he is finally looking like he has gotten comfortable at this level. Some guys show it early, others take awhile. Anyone wanting to rule him a bust after less than 20 games of D-1 ball should just be ignored.

Stacy King was sitting on the bench for most of his first year or two.

Not even. He was at the Huff with me and you didn't even want him on your team because he wanted to play point guard. Ha ha

TRUTH!!!!! :ez-laugh::ez-laugh:

Stacy was actually a pretty good friend of mine. We spent alot of time at the Huff together. I bet I know ya Boca. I lived in the old Cross Center dorms back then.....

Stacy was always with a girl named Dawn, who use to play with the guys. Do you remember her?? They had a five person team, and would never want to break apart. Stacy, Dawn, two little white kids who were both really good pg's( from Dawn's hometown I believe), and a tall skinny black kid that was like 6-4 and weighed about 100 lbs. Everyone called him Manute. Ring a bell Boca??:vitale

Billy was benching Stacy off and on even early into his last year. Billy thought he was too soft. However, as his last year developed, Stacy really came on, especially offensively. By the end of the year, he was really something special. He and Harvey were almost unstoppable offensively, as a pair. I have heard Billy say on a couple of occasions that pulling off the press and not forcing Grace and Mookie to push the ball inside in the second half were the two things that cost us the national championship.

Manning was in foul trouble in the first half, and we bailed him out my not forcing him to guard in the second half. We just stood around and shot jump shots.

Back to Stacy, I thought he appeared extremely coachable and I loved his attitude on the court. Great sooner in my book. Represented us well while in a sooner uni and also while in the pros.

Anybody know, what happened to Stacy and what is he doing now?
