The new coach is going to need some room to operate. If he doesn't have a chance to create space on the roster how is going to clean up this mess? Do you think someone wants to take the OU job and maybe 1 or 2 schollys to give out when he's saddled with maybe 4 players who can't contribute on the court. So what if somebody is going to be a SR.
I don't believe a new coach is going to be told he can't clean out as much of the roster as he wants to, otherwise no one in their right mind would take this job.
Be like taking over Microsoft and being told you can only produce 2005 technology to sell on the open market.

I know it's been said earlier in this thread but while I am happy because I feel OU had no direction under Capel I am going to reserve being "ecstatic" until I hear who we hire.

We need a coach with experience, no more no mid major.

I would like to keep newell. He can score from the 2 spot... He needed some time to adjust. He will be ok.

They had better have left of their own accord. It is unacceptable to throw a kid off scholarship unless he breaks team rules or university rules. Athletic competence is not a reason.
