Exactly what do you want him to say? Other than "goodbye" obviously. You realize that head coaches are asked to answer a lot of questions, and he has to say something. Do you want him to say "we are awful and probably won't win many games" or "this game is probably the one that will get me fired"? What would that accomplish other than to make the players feel even worse and alienate fans? Do you really expect a head coach to be anything other than a politician who tries to say the right thing, rather than what is absolutely true?

Chaminade isn't terrible, they gave MSU a run for it. Just because they're D2 doesn't mean they couldn't beat a good number of D1 teams. Heck, D3 Randolph-Macon beat George Mason 2 years ago, and Mason had a decent year for a mid-major. I don't get what this post is for.

Do we suck? Yes. Do you want Capel to admit that and dig his own grave? He won't, why should he?

I usually dont get like this over one loss, but this one just kind of pushed me over the edge...Chaminade? really? D2? really?

It's just been the overall lack of improvement the last two years....sure they arent talented, i can live with that...but i cant live with them not having a clue how to play the game...that is the coach....all the coach

You said it all for me, Edmond! No one (I repeat, NO ONE!) has been a bigger Capel supporter than me. I have sung his praises since the day he arrived on campus. If he turns this mess around, I will gladly apologize for the way I feel and support him with every fiber of my being. But I'm tired of the worn out excuses and the lack of progress I'm seeing from one game to the next. This is simply unacceptable for OU's basketball program!
