I will let someone contending anyone said it was ALL Willie's fault (outside of Gottlieb and people agreeing with his thoughts) do that for you. I'm sure if someone was contending such a notion, they would have examples for you.

Gottlieb's thread is available through the search feature.

The fact that WW isn't playing, or even traveling, says enough about him or coach's opinion of him.

Yea, it says a lot when an injured player doesn't play. It says......he's injured.

Good point. I just read the thread and never saw a poster that said that WW was the only problem on the team.

In fact, there were alot of silly posts in that thread but mostly hating on a guy that made a mistake a long time ago and saying he shouldn't talk about a situation b/c of his mistake...even though it is his job. Kinda foolish.

And as for your other comments, yea, it's definitely not foolish or "silly" for Gottlieb to just take a shot at Willie, offering no support or advice. It's not solely about Doug's issues at the same age. Simply taking a shot makes his opinion void, because it's not worth anything. Offer some assistance. I say you're silly and foolish for not being able to analyze what is being said.

It also must be noted I never came up with the claim anyone was solely blaming Willie, outside of a few instances confined to one thread. I provided the information for you, simply.

What are you talking about? You're suggesting Capel has shut Willie down, and it had nothing to do with being hurt? Is this based on conjecture? Someone that doesn't buy that is gullible? Odd post.

first, I am not an espn insider so the only part of the article I could read was what was posted. I never took any of that as a shot at WW. Just stating the fact that he was hyped up at the beginning of the year and he hasn't delivered. and by not delivered meaning he hasn't lived up to the hype. maybe if somebody could post the article we could settle it.

whatever though, play is never wrong...why do i bother

I'm getting too much off tangent here though, because I don't see anyone here solely blaming Willie. Some of it is over the top, which is my beef, but most is good discussion.

i haven't seen the whole article to see if he actually claims all the trouble are b/c of WW.

I don't know for a fact, but I'm not an idiot. Given the recent comments by Capel, the way the season has played out for Willie and his prior behavior, the whole issue with the "mono", him not traveling (not common), and everything else, I think there is AT LEAST a 50/50 shot at this being some kind of suspension, either for a few games, or for the year.

We'll likely never know for sure, but if it comes back around that I'm for sure wrong, I'll admit it. Where there is smoke, there is fire.

Why do people keep saying not traveling is not common?

I don't know that to be a fact. I personally don't think injured players travel because the University does not want them to miss class.

I don't know if they do or don't. I don't think they do. It does not make sense for kids to travel and miss class if they are not going to participate. I understand a redshirting player probably wants to travel but the stated primary goal of every Big XII school is education. Therefore, it seems logical to me that kids might not travel if they are not going to participate.

I don't know th answer to this question. I have simply seen it asked and then the answer became kids normally travel but I have not seen anything that would lead me to that conclusion. No one has said, I played college ball at X and when we were injured we traveled or we did not travel.

I read it, and Gottleib did in fact claim that.

He explicitly stated that all of OU's problems this season "start and end with Willie Warren".

What made it ridiculous was that he had no definitive evidence to support his extreme statement. He was basing this claim off of 2 random coaches that just said they wouldn't want Warren on their team. Nowhere near enough to prove the drastic statement that the teams' struggles are entirely WW's fault.

Cade Davis indeed had the lowest field goal % of any starter in the Big XII. That was a statistical fact. You want to see where he ranks now?

Please direct me to any post where I say Cade Davis should be kicked off the team, is screwing somebody else's girlfriend, is a malcontent, a cancer, where I stalked his facebook page, criticized his demeanor, etc.

BTW you're a stalker too. lol Of not only me but also Willie Warren.

Uh.....

Cade shouldn't be kicked off the team. And as far as we know, he isn't screwing anybody's GF (Willie has though. TWICE!).

How do people know things like this?

It just seems like it is rumor unless Willie Warren tells you, the women tells you or perhaps the guy who dated the girl.
