Among about 10 other schools, so don't expect a decision anytime soon but he seems like a possible post target for the second semester.
Washburn is a 6 foot 8 post out of the DFW area (South Grand Pairie) and yes he is the son of NC Stater and NBA player Chris Washburn. His older brother (Julian) is currently at UTEP (at least I think that is where he ended up).
If I remember right, Washburn dropped a bunch of weight recently and had a good summer. I remember watching him at the GASO some in July.
Had a good frame, didn't seem athletic but had a little back to the basket game going at some points. More of a true 5 than the "new age hybrid 4s" that seems to be all the rage in college basketball now a days.
Per recruit scoop.Texas, A&M, UTEP, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Providence, Marquette, Arkansas, Maryland, Texas Tech, FSU, LSU & Missouri.
