Beat UConn at UConn tonight. ESPN said they were 5 and 1 in the Big East. Would have been a great win for us. But not a bad loss anyway.

Yep, it's frustrating to recall that we let a very nice win slip away.

I can remember certain posters dismissing Cincy at the time as a lousy team (or maybe they used a term like mediocre), and that hasn't proven to be the case at all, as I suspected at the time it wouldn't.

Arkansas has done okay for themselves, too. They're now 13-5, with a win over #15 Mississippi State (though they got smoked on the road against Kentucky last night).

They've got their suspended players back. When we played them they weren't near as good. We blew it. It may not b a bad loss on paper but on the court it was.

Bingo. Don't expect a whole lot of people to agree with you though. We'd rather laud it as a "good loss" all season long while ignoring what actually happened in the game. It's a game against a very short handed opponent that we absolutely gave away. At the end of the year I hope that doesn't make the difference between playing in the postseason or not.

Cincy wasn't a bad team, even without the suspended players. Teams frequently rally to overachieve when players get hurt/suspended. Any college sports fan should know that.

The Bearcats had four games without those players to get primed for us -- games they won by 20, 31, 48 and 35 points. Yes, they were facing weak competition, but in this day and age, three wins by more 30 points is still impressive for a supposedly "mediocre" team. We have just one such win this season, and we've played our share of weak sisters.

And Cincy followed their win against us with a road victory over Pitt, and the suspended players were out for that one, too.

It was a bad loss because we blew a substantial lead, but Cincy was no weak sister opponent.

A terrible loss actually because of the way it happened. Cinci had no business winning that game.

Like Xavier...oh wait.

We should have won that game, but that Cincy team was still pretty darn good, even without the suspended players. Pretty sure they had a good win or two without those guys.
