Clark seeks ways other than scoring to help team

I'm not sure I agree that Cam was double-teamed all that much. I just didn't see that every time he touched the ball. The shots were there, they just weren't gong in. I think he lost a little confidence after he missed a few shots.

“Cam’s just gotta let it go. It’s Big 12 play. People are going to point to him and target him. He’s just got to stay aggressive,” he said. “I thought he turned down some shots early to try to get closer. Those are shots he shoots really well. We need him to stay aggressive. It’s confidence as much as anything right now.

Kruger is right in that Cam passed on shots he should have taken to drive with the ball. They're all doing that. If the ball comes to you, take the danged shot! Don't turn down good shots to drive with the ball and put up a prayer, get it blocked or turn the ball over. Our shooting percentage will better if our players are ready to take good shots as soon as the ball arrives. If they hesitate, they might as well pass it to someone else, because any shot they take will not be in rhythm.

I don't remember seeing him doubled either, but if he was, he should have passed to the open man.

I don't think he has been doubled much either. He has probably been drawing the opponents best defender and they are putting some effort into keeping him from getting the ball in his favorite spots.

Day before yesterday at practice they were doing a lot of work getting Cam the ball at the elbow after popping him up from the baseline. Let's watch today and see if they can get that to work.
