Conference Predictions?

We know our non-con is not going to get us into the tournament, so we have to be .500 or better in conference at a minimum. What's everyone's take? I'll give two thoughts:

• Are we really this bad defensively? If so, 6-12
• Will we play hard consistently and show defensive improvement week-to-week? 10-8

All that to say, it's probably somewhere in between, and we'll finish 8-10 and have to win games in the SEC tournament to have a chance.

8-10 seems about right. We are 13 games in and have seen no signs this team cares enough to play defense for more than short spurts, and the coach obviously doesn’t demand it. We will win a couple games against good teams and look really good doing it because our shots are falling and the offense is humming, but we will also have the typical Moser lapses in home games we have no business losing. I’ve seen people say how good we can be “if we play defense,” but we are almost halfway through the season. I think we are who we are at this point.

I’ll play. Seeing that PM is not much of a coach in conference since he got here, 25-45, l would use those percentages and say we will finish 6-12. But being the optimist, lol, I will say 8-10.

KenPom has us predicted 8-10 but with only winning 6 games by the percentages. (So giving us a favor of 2 50/50 toss up games, assuming bc of home court advantge, which means nothing in the Moser era.

This should be sobering for all the people who expect/think we may/should win our first three games. Those teams aren’t very good, but they can also say the same thing about us.

Kai is available and Dayton probable tomorrow. Somewhat surprising since they hadn’t even returned to practice as of a few days ago. Dayton needs to pick up his play, especially with JN looking as bad as he has in all but a couple games. Will be interesting to see how Moser handles the rotation at the 5 with all three guys available.
