Our program is in a sad state right now. It's embarrassing. I apologize for your damaged strength of schedule.

Haith + DII coach is not a recipe for success. We're in a place not dissimilar from OU in the last couple Capel years or first year with Kruger talent-wise, and we have a coach learning major college basketball on the fly (who didn't bother practicing an inbounds play a single time in practice until AFTER the season started).

I'm hoping to see a Kruger-like turnaround in Columbia. I'm not holding my breath.

Beat kansas, please.

MenderofRoads, as you correctly pointed out, OU fans were in a similar position not long ago, so we know what you are going through right now. It's not fun, that's for sure. Hang in there. And, by the way, if you see longtime Mizzou fan and regular on this board, "Sawyer," tell him we miss him just a little. Hope he's okay.

Stop by again anytime you need someone to talk to!

We recently have felt your pain. Thanks for posting

Yeah, Mizzou boards aren't all that fun right now. I'm still holding out hope that Jakeenan Gant (best recruit, U18 invite, held out of all games so far for unspecified reasons; don't even know if it's academic or otherwise) will suit up at some point* and give us a little optimism.

With Gant, Wright, Gill-Caesar, Allen and Isabell, we have some decent freshmen. Williams is a nice sophomore. The rest of the roster is more or less trash for a major-conference team. I suppose Clark wouldn't be bad as like a 10th man. Torren Jones and Cam Biedscheid were supposed to be two of our best players. Both were dismissed this summer for, again, unspecified reasons. Biedscheid (former top 30 recruit) is now at Iona and sitting out. Jones is tearing it up at Midland College (19/12 average so far). Add those two to this team, and we might actually be good. Still no legitimate point guard, but we'd at least have a consistent wing scorer and a center who could jump for a rebound.

The roster is a complete mess. Rosburg has been outplayed by DII post guys multiple times this season already (Anderson's old school and Chaminade), and Post is even worse. We have exactly one legitimate post player right now.

Pretty much all my hope at this point rests in our assistants' ability to land talent. Fuller and Fulford are supposed to be good recruiters. They've brought in a talented player or two each, but still a major wait-and-see on the 2015 class (only two commitments are from three-star in-state kids any coach could have landed, but there are a couple big fish out there still possibly interested).

The first half Thursday vs. Elon looked promising (as much as a game vs. a team that bad can be). The second half was a near disaster. Probably should have lost that game.

Finally, google my sig...

*Gant was cleared to play today. Finally. Maybe we'll have a shot vs. OSU in about two weeks.
