Reaves was named Co-Big 12 Player of the Week, along with WVU's Sean McNeil.

Reaves' outing on Saturday made him just the third Big 12 player ever to score at least 28, grab nine boards and have seven assists. Trae Young and oswho's Maurice Baker (in 2001) were the others.

Reaves is the only D-1 player currently averaging at least 16.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists. Man, do I wish we'd had him in Lubbock.

We probably would've lost that game if Reaves had played. Oh, wait… ;)

Say it again for the ones in the back.

Reaves can be frustrating, but he's a risk/reward player, much like Trae. Honestly, if he could hit a three pointer with any consistency, he'd be getting NPOY and draft talk, and we'd be a top 5 team. He's doing everything else at an incredibly high level.

Lol it is one of the funniest things ever that there are OU fans who truly think our offense is better without him. They apparently think the three or four possessions when he takes a bad shot or dribbles too much outweigh the 70+ possessions when the offense is exponentially better because of what he provides.

There are 9 other coaches who would gladly slot him into their starting lineups.

I doubt if everyone will agree, but it should be obvious by now that Austin Reaves is the best point guard and one of the best players on our roster. While some here may not be pleased with every decision or play he makes, there is no doubt that he has been a key to our success this season. Austin is more than deserving of this honor!

He'd start for probably for all but a handful of teams in America.

Was talking about the 9 other coaches in the big 12. Baylor might be the only team in the country where he wouldn’t stay every game.

and gonzaga... I was just expanding on your point...

It's pretty funny the transition that Reaves has taken @ OU. When he transferred it seemed like he was a spot up 3 point shooter and he immediately showed that he was so much more then that.

Now he's turned into a point forward that runs the offense but isn't shooting at a high rate. Lucky to have him - he's one of the best players in the country.

He's got a pretty solid case for Big 12 player of the year. Butler for Baylor is probably the guy that may win because of how dominant Baylor has been but look at the stat lines and Reaves is way higher on rebounds and about the same in scoring and assists. Butler leads the league in steals though.
