In the thread about Terry Evans, you mentioned Tubbs didn't endorse him. Was that when OU hired Capel? Or has that been recently?

How do you know Tubbs didn't endorse him?

Do you know why?

I apologize in advance if it appears I'm calling you out because I put your name in the title of the thread. Certainly not my intention, just wanted to get more info about your post.

Billy has had numerous opportunities to endorse Evans and you have yet to hear him make the call. Heck, just a few days ago he was on the radio and Evans was specifically mentioned...and no endorsement.

It's not a matter of what Billy said, the silence speaks volumes. Neither Billy nor Kelvin felt Evans was ready for coaching (assistant or HC apparently) in D1.

Look, I don't wanna be mean or rag on Terry Evans. I loved watching him play for OU and appreciate what he did for the program.

There's a reason that he left OU so quickly after being on Kelvin's staff ... and it wasn't a friendly departure. It also wasn't just a matter of "conflicting personalities".

He's just not up to coaching a major D1 program in the opinion of many. It's great that he's doing well at UCO and like those others I will comment that he should continue his success there.
