Could OU win any D-1 Conference?

Is there a D-1 conference OU would win this year?

Better question. Is there a D-1 school with a more pathetic home-court atmosphere? There are, what, about 350 D-1 schools? I'd like to think one of them has a worse fan base, but I might be overly optimistic.

You've obviously never been to a Oregon State game.

better question:
is there a division one team we could beat 9 times out of 10

Auburn. I follow a couple of Auburn beat writers on Twitter b/c of Cam Newton...one of them posted a picture of literally TENS of people in their brand new $92 million arena. :facepalm

After watching them tonight, I'm fairly certain we could beat Gardner-Webb 9 times out of 10.

There are some really, really bad basketball conferences out there that I would think we could win. But I can't say for sure.

I think we would easily win about 5 or so conferences. Off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure we could dominate the SWAC, MEAC, Big South, America East, and Northeast.

Who knows those five conferences off the top of their head?? ;)

You definitely got me there. I was at the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games in 2003. I thought OU represented very well for being 1,500 miles from Albany, NY. Auburn was also in the Sweet 16 in Albany - I saw ONE fan wearing an Auburn jersey. ONE.

To answer the original poster's question, I'm going to wait until after Saturday's game against a decent mid-major before listing the conferences OU could/would win. ;)

This query is the same ilk as to whether the OU women could beat the OU men or whether the OU football team could beat the OU basketball team.
There are 300+ D-1 basketball teams, probably at least 10 conferences including those mentioned that OU would dominate. A better question would be they able to win any BCS conference ( except for the Big East the same basketball teams as football teams) Or any of the better mid majors'

Clearly the only home non-conference team that has any potential for any competition is Oral Roberts which is 4-4 . The last 3 teams on the home schedlule are 6-18 and 2-18 against D-1 Gardner-Webb 6-6 with 4-6 (d-1) is the second best team on the home schedule excepting of course conference games

I don't know about 10...

We would not win anything easily.
