2-8 for 6 points and 4 turnovers.

Throw in that he let singletary hit three shots from the corner down the stretch, and he laid a stinker. Hopefully he can redeem himself on Sunday.

he did hit a shot clock ending 3 when they had just cut it to 6 with a few to play..

That kind of defenswe can get us beaten. Is he to dumb to learn to guard a guy that is hot and is his responsibility?? And is shooting from the same exact spot standing still?

Never a bad idea, I think, to mention the up side when assessing a player's performance in a game. I mean, it's only fair, right?

Isaiah's three-pointer with just over three minutes remaining may well have sealed the win. I'd hate to think what might have happened if those final two seconds on the shot clock had ticked away.

I mean, couldn't you spare just a few words of praise along with your criticism? We did win, after all, and Isaiah, when it counted most, came through big time.

Did I hear them say he led the big 12 in three point percentage this year? I never would have guessed that

Hope he redeems himself?

Ummmm, that huge 3 with 3 minutes to go did just that. Cut the kid some slack. Bad game but he came up HUGE when we needed it most.

To be fair, Cousins also had 6 rebounds and 2 steals.

Now that we're on the topic of poor shooting, Buddy didn't exactly burn up the nets tonight. He scored 15 points, but it was mostly on what I call "volume shooting," going 6 of 16 from the field (3 of 11 from three). Hooley also made him look bad on defense at least twice that I remember.

I think we all agree that both of those guys have to start knocking down more shots if we're to have any chance of moving forward in this tourney.

Good point, Ada. Any idea when our last good shooting game was?

Buddy had about 4 shots that were right on target that just rimmed out.

Buddy has always been a volume shooter

Buddy could raise his percentage if he would finish at the rim. He missed another wide open layup last night.

We won, and were in control all night, despite the fact that Hield and Cousins weren't at their best. This is good. The others played well, Cousins hit a big 3, and Hield it a couple and got some big offensive boards.

We're playing good teams and not playing them at home. Moreover, their game plan was to stop Hield. We're going to have to be able to win without Hield scoring 30 or Cousins at his best. It's all about survive and advance and we did that. Hopefully we'll do it again tomorrow.
