2-8 for 6 points and 4 turnovers.
Throw in that he let singletary hit three shots from the corner down the stretch, and he laid a stinker. Hopefully he can redeem himself on Sunday.
Did I hear them say he led the big 12 in three point percentage this year? I never would have guessed that
They've been saying that game after game, for weeks.
Buddy had about 4 shots that were right on target that just rimmed out.To be fair, Cousins also had 6 rebounds and 2 steals.
Now that we're on the topic of poor shooting, Buddy didn't exactly burn up the nets tonight. He scored 15 points, but it was mostly on what I call "volume shooting," going 6 of 16 from the field (3 of 11 from three). Hooley also made him look bad on defense at least twice that I remember.
I think we all agree that both of those guys have to start knocking down more shots if we're to have any chance of moving forward in this tourney.
Good point, Ada. Any idea when our last good shooting game was?
Buddy has not shot over 39% since the TCU game on February 28; six games ago. Check out his game-by-game stats at the link:

Buddy has always been a volume shooter

Never a bad idea, I think, to mention the up side when assessing a player's performance in a game. I mean, it's only fair, right?
Isaiah's three-pointer with just over three minutes remaining may well have sealed the win. I'd hate to think what might have happened if those final two seconds on the shot clock had ticked away.
I mean, couldn't you spare just a few words of praise along with your criticism? We did win, after all, and Isaiah, when it counted most, came through big time.
