Cousins to sacramento

Unreal if you think of how he looked as a freshman playing Big 12 basketball. Atta kid Isaiah!

I'm happy he's getting a shot, but I kept hearing that he was moving up--not to the 2nd to last pick lol. What pisses me off is they all list him as a SG, but isn't he a PG? Say "undersized" for his position, but since he can play the 1, 6'4'' aint undersized

Just bc that's what they list him as doesn't mean he'll be that. Hes going to be a combo guard on a team that needs guards.

I wouldn't have wanted Buddy to go to the Kings at all. But Buddy needs to go somewhere where he can win & excel like NO or MINN. Cousins needed to go to a place where he can make a roster and see playing time to showcase what he can do like Sac.

Per Divac: Kings surprised Cousins was still available at 59. Drafted him for PG help.

As a Kings fan, couldn't be more excited about this. Was hoping we'd get Buddy too at #8, but beggars can't be choosers.

Isaiah has a great shot at making the team, and getting playing time. Here's how the guard roster currently shakes out:

PG - Rondo (FA, may not be back with the team), Collison (decent 6th man, but is going to be supsended dependent on these domestic violence charges
SG - McLemore (has been a bust, can't wait to get rid of), Bellinelli (got traded away today for #22) and James Anderson (lol)
Combo guard - Seth Curry (restricted FA, will probably be brought back unless some team offers him a lot)

congrats Isaiah!!
I thought that Ben McLemore would be a successful pro. Maybe Isaiah will get some his minutes.
He could change the team's personality with his work ethic.

The only reason I watched the entire draft was to see if Cousins got picked. I was giving up hope but there he was. Good kid. Proud he's a Sooner!

I really hope he makes the team. Sacramento drafted about 6,000 players, so I'm a little worried about making it there, but I think he's good enough to make it somewhere.

Shawn Livingston on the Warriors is a really good comparison for Cousins.

Remember when some here wondered why he was given a scholarship his freshman season?

I couldn't be more proud for Isaiah! I hope he has a long and successful career at the next level. He deserves it.

McLemore (has been a bust, can't wait to get rid of)
It wouldn't surprise me if McLemore is molded in to a valuable rotation player in a stable organization that gets him for pennies on the dollar.

I didn't want Buddy anywhere near that dumpster fire, but it's a good spot for Cousins because he has a real chance to make the roster.

Very different players, in size and skill sets. Livingston is about half a foot longer than Cousins. Livingston has the same wingspan and standing reach as Blake Griffin; Cousins has the same wingspan and standing reach as Deron Williams and Kirk Hinrich. Livingston's court vision and passing are outstanding. He plays with poise and rarely makes mistakes. Livingston has PG skills and mentality in a SF's body.

Livingston has a good midrange game, but his big weakness is that he can't shoot 3s, which is how Cousins will have to make his living, along with the type of quickness Livingston hasn't had since his knee injury.

Yes sir! Agree on all counts.

Smash, Who would you compare Cousins to? Maybe not a popular choice among Thunder fans, but I was thinking Patrick Beverley---similar size (though I think Cousins is probably a little bigger), scrapper, willing defender, solid from 3. But you know a lot more about the NBA than me, so I was curious about your thoughts.
