Cousins' work ethic sets example | The Oklahoman

I just assumed that Buddy was the work horse. I LOVE that it's Cousins.

From my gathering, Cousins, Buddy, Spangler and Slate are the biggest gym rats.

I read that article in this morning's newspaper. Well done, Ryan Aber!

The part I liked best is that Cousins and Hield have set an example for younger players like McNeace, Lattin and Buford to follow. If you want to improve, you have to put in the time to get better. All they have to do is to watch replays of their games as freshmen to see the tremendous improvements both players have made the last two years. Isaiah and Buddy are light years better than they were back then.

Practice, practice, practice! That's the key to being successful.

From the practices I have been to, Slate always just struck me as a guy that just wants to play basketball. As in if he had an afternoon off he would rather be in the gym than out with friends or playing video games or taking a nap. That's a very good quality to have in the locker room, walk on or not

It's pretty amazing that the same player could be named the team's most valuable player two years in a row. It speaks to Cousins' hard work and the progress he's made in 2 years.
