Don't try to both sides this. Biden was incredibly composed in the face of that lunatic. Trump was absolutely out of control. The polls also show that people who watched the debate say that Joe Biden won.

This is pretty hilarious that this is what I stumbled on this morning on the forum.... After listening to Rick Santorum and other conservatives last night I made a comment to my wife that "the best you are going to get from Trump people is that BOTH sides were bad. They can't criticize Dear Leader, but anyone with a brain can see Trump was off the rails psycho at this so called debate".

And sure enough, the "both sides" thing is the main diversion tactic from his cult.

The media is trying hard to frame it as a Biden win, just as they tried to help Hillary. The truth is Biden lied his ass off and didn’t really answer any questions.

If that is your position on this... then there is no amount of facts, logic, or appeal that one can make to you. You're dug in. That's fine. You do you. You found this hill 4 years ago, and you've decided to die on that hill.

It was a disgusting performance by Trump.... and he's framing it that he had to take on the moderator too. I feel bad for Chris Wallace, but he was dealing with an absolute toddler up there on stage. Trump was a total embarrassment and everyone knows it.

Now, some content related things to discuss:

Biden missed some chances last night that Trump gave him... Trump has been flat out lying about releasing a health care plan for 4 years. He doesn't have one. He's even claimed you have to wait until AFTER you re-elect him to see it. He told Chris Wallace a long time ago that h e would have it out in a few weeks, he's made that claim in 2018, 2017, and 2016. He has never released a plan. Biden jumped on that saying he doesn't have a plan and that he is a liar, which is true, but I would have tried to leverage Chris Wallace directly there. "Chris, he told you in his interview with you 2 months ago that he would release a plan and he didn't".. I think he had a chance to remind the country of a very specific time that he lied about it.

Biden also needed to try to get Trump more on specifics.... We all know Trump isn't even involved in any actual policy, and he could have done more to nail him on specifics. Trump says "we are going to make great health care really cheap!"... Ok, how? Explain your plan. Trump literally can't do that. On pretty much all policy positions, Trump can't defend specifics. I would have tried harder to put him on the spot and watch him bumble around.

Biden was very effective on election integrity and election outcomes... Trump was a total crybaby.

The only effective part of the night for Trump was packing the courts.... I can't decide what a good strategy is for Biden here. I think his supporters want him to pack the courts, but his entire campaign position is to appeal to Republicans and Independents. The DNC was like the RNC from the late 1990's, lol. He's made it clear he is running as a moderate, saying he beat the socialists, trying to avoid extreme positions.... I would have rather hear him say he wants to expand the court to 15 judges. He must think that would turn off Republicans and Independents who hate Trump but don't like that move. His entire democratic base would probably be motivated in favor of that though. So, it was an effective moment for Trump because Biden wouldn't say if he would or wouldn't. That's not a good debate position to be in.

Other than that, it's pretty clear that Trump is scared. He can't defend his record. He can't talk specifics. He has no real plan, nor does he want one. His entire tactic is to win with the cult. I don't think it's gonna work. The cult isn't big enough, and he doesn't appeal well to people who aren't in the cult.

Even Rick Santorum said he hurt himself with anyone outside the cult last night... He didn't want to say it, but he had to. It's the only logical position.

As for the Proud Boys thing.... if we have gotten to the point where we are trying to decide if they are a racist, white nationalist group, then God help us all. The FBI labeled them as an extremist group with ties to white nationalism. The Southern Poverty Law Center labeled them a hate group. They associate with other white nationalist groups. They had members and followers directly in the Charlottesville white supremacist rally. Those members were kicked out of The Proud Boys group, and the leader of that effort said the Proud Boys were just trying to save their ass.

-Gavin Mcinnes (Founder of the Proud Boys)

In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.

It was terrible all the way around, a really embarrassing night for America. If you think either candidate "won" then I don't know what to tell you, I guess not looking as bad as your opponent could count as a win.

Only positives for Biden imo is that:
1) He looked & sounded competent
2) Trump was going crazy, so he didn't win the undecided voters.

Positives for Trump:
1) He got under Biden's skin (talking about his addict son would've made anyone lose it).

I love how the cult is attacking Chris Wallace on social media... Donald Trump was a total nut up there, everyone knows it, and Chris Wallace was trying to control the debate.... But you can't control this guy. If Chris Wallace did or said nothing you wouldn't have heard anyone but Trump.

It must suck to be in this cult... It's a total victim ideology.

The media is against me!
The democracy itself is rigged against me with ballots!
Hollywood is against me!
Pro sports are against me!
Chris Wallace is a DEM OPERATIVE!
Academics are against me!
Schools are against me!
Twitter is against me!
Facebook is against me!
The UN is against me!
The G7 is against me!

No wonder Trump is buddies with Kim Jong Un, Vladimir Putin, Precep Erdogan, and Muhammad Bin Salman. All murdering thugs. Nobody else likes him.

The one thing Biden was honest about was when he was asked why Trump shouldn't push the SC Justice through. He basically said b/c she doesn't agree with him and his party on the issues. That isn't a good reason. It's a reason why the dems shouldn't want it to happen, but it's a terrible reason as to why it should or shouldn't go through under Trump.

Biden did what any dad would have done, defended his children. The only thing I would have done differently is kick Trump's ass on national television.

You don't go after people's family like that... called his son an addict, personally attacked him on multiple levels including military service... It got under Biden's skin like it would any dads... The only thing Biden didn't do right was break his jaw.

Also, you can't "win" something like that... It wasn't even a debate. It was just a Trump clown show. The only thing you can do is hope Trump's true character (which was on display... attacking peoples children, supporting white supremacy groups, lying his ass off, etc) finally gets people to not support him. Give him some rope, he will hang himself with it.

This. I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes of it. So cringe-worthy. Both sides. Trump fussing the moderator early on when he was just trying to finish his question. I thought Biden looked lost and out of it, I know some didn't see the same thing. I just don't see how Biden doesn't end up being a puppet if elected. He doesn't have the energy or clout to get much done on his own.
