no. He walked up to the police with his hands in the air and complied with their commands as for as i could tell and he previously had been walking around with those police so i imagine that they remembered him.

He was walking around with the police with that gun? This is why open carry is insane.

He walked right past the police with his hands up and left. He was apprehended today in Illinois.

If this is true then it doesn’t bode well for those justifying police killings in these other instances.

Your words:

"So he says he can't breathe in the car, so why you don't call and ambulance if you really believe that to be the case."

He said he has problems breathing in cars, yet when the officers approached him he was doing just that, sitting in a car. If he has those problems then why was he sitting in a car? It's fine for him to sit in one car, but completely not fine to sit in another?

i hate it in these contexts for sure. You need to be on your own damn property imo or staying at one property. Kid was 17 too, apparently you have to be 18 to open carry. So i want him to be charged for being a dumbass and doing that (altho you could make constitutional arguments on that age restriction, i just don't want to rn)

i think its distinguishable from someone possibly and suddenly pulling a weapon in the middle of a scuffle with police vs. Going around open carried and walking towards the police (altho that would frighten me probably esp after shots having been fired)

When did I say it wasn’t ok for him to be in the police car? I’ve actually said the opposite. If you don’t believe his just keep him there & wait on an ambulance, don’t knee on him for 9 minutes.

I have no idea where you get your train of thought.

Someone possibly pulling a weapon vs someone who already has the weapon & has been actively killing people with it.

what an incredibly one sided article. wow

And good job governor! Asking nicely is sure to help!
“A senseless tragedy like this cannot happen again,” the governor, a Democrat, said in a statement. “I again ask those who choose to exercise their First Amendment rights please do so peacefully and safely, as so many did last night. I also ask the individuals who are not there to exercise those rights to please stay home and let local first responders, law enforcement and members of the Wisconsin National Guard do their jobs.”

Yes, not on your property brandishing a gun ready to shoot should be a harsh crime & I could see that as a police shooting easily. But he gets to leave and allowed to turn himself in the next day.

If you don't believe him, how are you going to keep him in the open without restraint? I'm not saying the knee was a good option. But what do you expect the police to do in that situation? You don't believe the man when he says he can't breath and you can't get him in the cop car and you want to wait until ems arrvies. Do you just let him ly there and just hope that he isn't faking and gets up and runs away?

You said an ambulance should have been called if he has problems breathing in a car. He stated his reasoning for not wanting to be placed in a squad car was his inability to breath in a car yet he had no problems breathing in the car he was sitting in and the video showed him not having a problem. He was obviously using the breathing problem as an excuse. There was no reason to call an ambulance, which you stated, is the point. There is no other point but the point addressing what you stated is the point. He had no problem breathing in either car.

I know its a weird logical exercise. But it makes me think of donald rumsfields quote i think "theres what we know, we know; what we know, we dont know; but what keeps me up at night is what we dont know, we dont know."

Have you seen the video? Was he resisting or ignoring commands? He had walked with them earlier, that likely played a roll in this result

The Bucks are boycotting their playoff game today in protest.

Ok, that is pretty insane. He was literally killing people, with police around, and left and turned himself in a day later.... this at a protest where a guy was shot 7 times in the back at point blank range, who didn't have a gun.

That is the circumstance, right? I honestly don't want to misrepresent it.

Celtics and Raptors likely to boycott game 1 as well. The Raptors are literally talking about going home, leaving the bubble, in protest.

Trump has made a statement.

"We will NOT stand for looting, arson, violence, and lawlessness on American streets. My team just got off the phone with Governor Evers who agreed to accept federal assistance (Portland should do the same!)...TODAY, I will be sending federal law enforcement and the National Guard to Kenosha, WI to restore LAW and ORDER!"
-President Trump

This is nuts man.... We live in crazy times.

You ARE misrepresenting it. The cops didnt know it was THAT guy or anything. They did not see the first shooting and likely didnt see the second shooting (which at first glance looks sympathetic to the shooter as people charged on to him..). Apples to oranges
