Dante Buford suspended first 3 games

Was probably out in game one because of injury.

Shouldn't kill us right? He will miss the first two games in Orlando.

Dude just keeps falling farther and farther behind. I know the injuries aren't his fault, but still. This is his third season on campus, and he is likely behind a true freshman.

Given that he was a serious contributor on a Final Four team I am not too worried about him. He'll be fine in whatever role he lands in.

I know this is not directly related to this thread, but it's about Buford so I thought I'd type it here. It just seems like he has not bought in to how hard you have to work to be successful at this level. It looks like he hasn't really made a lot of progress. Just relying on talent. and he looks pudgy - always has. It makes me question how hard he works. Am I off base?

Disappointing as I will be there in Orlando for the first two games but not the third one... Was looking forward to seeing his improvement in person.

Anyone else going?

I like the fact that you barely heard anything about it then POOF! it was dealt with and all announced in one blow. self-reported and quickly contained. I truly respect the fact that Coach is doing things the right way. I feel like the program is in good good hands.

If Freeman starts taking some of his minutes & Doolittle starts I can see Buford transferring. Only problem is he doesn't have a redshirt to use if he does.

I wish. Cheap flights from Okc and tulsa via Allegiant.

He played 8 minutes or less in 3 of the final 4 NCAA games. In those 4 games, he took 8 shots and had 4 rebounds.

Hardly a serious contributor.

Yep. I know it's early, but he is on my transfer radar.

I can see Doolittle and Freeman both passing up Buford by midseason...They both bring skill sets we need (energy-outside shooting)whereas Buford doesn't offer the outside shooting of Freeman or energy of Doolittle... additionally, we can go big with Mc at 5, Lattin at 4 and Doo or Freeman at 3 ...so unless he is dramatically improved I can see a transfer in the near future
