I can remember OU hoops from ‘83 to the present and I cannot remember an OU team with this much quality depth.

Some will say 89-90 but I'm with you if you are talking 9,10,11

Imagine if you replaced Lazenby with McIntosh or Kouchelov.

1990 is the standard. We'll see if we can keep it up.

Those dudes came in waves.

Until proven otherwise, the '89 - '90 team is the bar. That was a team that went 11 deep (J Jones, W Davis, D Patterson, T Evans and S Henry were the starters, and S McCovery, M Harris, A Martin, K Holmes, R Ware and T Mullins came off the bench). There was not a single player from that team drafted in the NBA, but they finished the regular season as the #1 team in America. They pulled off a ridiculous feat by beating the #1 team in the country in back-to-back games.

All that said, let's hope 4 months from now we're all saying the 2017-2018 team is the bar...but this team has a long way to go to earn that distinction.

and then the pea-wads couldnt handle King Rice. smdh

1990 team (one of my fav all time OU teams) definitely had the most quality depth...but this team is pretty deep.

The 1990 had 10 different players average 10/min a game or more and had 6 players average double digits in points (nearly 7, as Terry Evans avg 9 pt/game). That team finished the season ranked #1 in the nation and was the overall #1 seed in the tourney!!
