I think most of the top recruits all wonder the same thing. Mulkey was a cy fair kid so that can hurt or help OU- did kids like playing with her was she a good teammate if so I'd say Patterson could be drawn to OU. All kids want to win its ridiculous to think otherwise. It doesn't take every McDAA on your team to win NC (look at tn) it takes a great combo of high level players that fit pieces to build it and key is to have an ultimate leader (Stacey Dales ) type kid to run it. Look at what schools are recruiting who like Norm said there is a reason A&M OU TX have all offered top 17 and 18 pgs it's how to build a champ team. The real key is kids who want to play together to really boost a program . What kids play with what kids on club teams. If OU wants to go from a top 25 to top 10 overnight they need to get some of these kids to come together otherwise getting one here one there keeps them at top 25. That's nothing to snub at. Great accomplishment to stay in the top 25 over the Coale years

Yes skilled you are right. It's not the only way to go but for a quick turn around getting players who play together and share some chemistry to join same college team can make an immediate impact. Karen did it at Texas and it has worked wonders! Doesn't have to be one club team but two or three here and there will impact. Look for the top club teams in area and get busy!

Just being in the top 25 if we have little chance of winning the conference doesn't cut it for me.

Yes that will for sure be a huge asset in landing her. On the board you seem to know about the kids in Texas the most. Not saying that kids out of area won't go to OU but we all know most kids end up wanting to stay close for family etc. OU has the best insite on their in state kids but it looks like 2017/18 has 4-5 ships per class to give. If you could give them to kids in Texas who would be a good fit for OU in 17/18 and why? Fit is one of the biggest factors in building a championship team which is why I mention it.
