Do we change the starters?

Whose time does Doolittle cut into?

I just worry that somehow Manek's time gets cut and I think that would be rather tragic given how he has played.

Adding a double double type player.

He’ll steal a few from everyone. Kruger knows don’t mess up a good thing.

Freeman loses a lot. Manek a little. Possibly Lattin if we can pull off going small up front.

I’d also include Odomes minutes also.

I’m guessing Kruger will make him earn his minutes back but we desperately need him against bigger teams. Our real weakness is defensive rebounding so it makes me Wonder how much Kruger pushes Doolittle to the 3 and keeps Manek at the stretch 4 against teams with size.

Speaking of Odomes, there have been threads on this board calling out McGusty, Lattin and McNeace, but none questioning Rashard's performance this season. He's scoring just five points a game this year, compared to 10 points last season. His other stats are consistent with last year, but not his scoring.

this is kinda my lean also. I think Odomes ends up being the big "time loser" upon Doolittle's return to the regular rotation. I dont see that as being overly taxing on the way this group has meshed - we would be much more negatively impacted by taking Brady out.

Lattin and Jamuni sub for each other. Trae and Shepherd sub for each other. Manek and Freeman sub for each other. James and McGusty sub for each other. That leaves your point for Doolittle and Odomes should sub for each other.

Had to score some out of necessity lasts year

He shouldn’t shoot anything but dunks and layups

He's not even doing much of that this year.

He was the leading scorer in an all-star game right before he arrived in Norman as a freshman. He's no sharpshooter, but he should be able to find ways to score with some regularity, at least as many ppg as last season, when we weren't playing at nearly the pace we are this year.

He's a slasher by trade but it's hard to be a reliable scorer when you constantly need to drive to the basket for points and that will leave him as the odd man out because there are times where the scoring lanes are not open and you need to be able to get the ball in the hole from other places on the court.

He's playing less, for one, and there are just fewer shots to go around with Young and Manek taking so many. So much of the offense is built around Young, Odomes doesn't fit that well. He's a slasher, not a catch-and-shoot guy, and Young is the one driving and slashing to the basket.
