Had to DVR the Texas game and just got to watch it late last night. Wow, best game by Oklahoma in forever.

Played hard, smart and well. Only 15 turnovers. Some will think that is high, but that is OK for a girls game. They will always have a few more than the boys. Most were forced errors (you can live with these) as opposed to unforced errors (irritating). Texas is a good and athletic team that presses and plays an aggressive style, so 15 is good IMO>

These girls are funny. I was ready to bench Ortiz and she looked like a world beater last night. I have sort of been ready for Sherri to start playing people ahead of Sharane, and then she plays like a real warrior. I had just started to assume that Maddie was going to be unable to return from her injuries and forced layoff of 2 years, and she was hands down the best player on the court for either side.

As stated before, it is really going to be hard for Sherri to figure out who to play.

This team might end up being pretty good. The bigs are much better than in year past and our perimeter depth is good enough that it is hard to figure out who you want to play.

Keep it up girls.

ViVi and Treece are interesting in that one night Treece looks like by far the best player. Next game ViVi does. It doesn't matter to me which one steps up as long as one of them does.

Maddie was so tired that she couldnt quite do what she wanted but worked really hard and did very well. I love this girl. She will be a killer when her recovery is complete.

Ortiz is clearly our future at point but Maddie is the best point guard we have now. I think Gabbi should continue to start but Maddie should replace her on a consistent basis when Gabbi comes out. I like Edwards but she is no way close to what Maddie can do with the ball in her hands.

I am beginning to believe in Carter. I have always liked her. You can't teach her kind of quickness and now she is effective in penetrating with either hand. Also she seems confident in her outside shots and her pullups. Obviously she has worked hard to improve herself.

One of the problems some of our players have is trying to do too much and too fast. there is a difference between being quick and being too fast. That is why KayKay misses so many layups and why we have so many silly turnovers. We are doing better now because people like Carter has slowed down enough to play smart.
