Dykes and Cooper-Dyke OUT

No one ever has to sit out more than 1 year. It's just a question of whether you burn a year of eligibility while you are sitting out. Like Baker Mayfield and his subsequent reversal.

If a player transfers from Baylor to Oklahoma wouldn't they have to sit out 2 years?

No, it's just like Mayfield. He sat out his transfer year as a sophomore but that counted as a year of eligibility. So he played the last 2 seasons thinking he would be done after 2016 but upon appeal the Big 12 granted him an additional year since he was redshirt eligible the year he sat out and was a non-scholarship player at TTU. No one in the history of the NCAA has ever sat out 2 years as a result of a transfer.

Ok thanks, I never knew that...

That is the reason the Big 12 implemented their loss of a year intra-conference transfer rule. They do not want the circumstance arise where a scholarship athlete transfers from OU to Texas, OSU to OU or eve OU to Tech.

Not that way in the SEC where intra-conference transfers are commonplace. I do not know what the transfer rules regarding intra-conference transfers are in the ACC, B1G and Pac-12.

Now there are 12 transfers still available 4 inside players and 8 guards... majority of them are from big 12 schools.

Hmmm, anyone think any of these could help us?

Yes McBryde, Thomas, and Page would all help OU, also with OU not in on any top 2018 post sitting out a year and then having a few years to play wouldn't be such a bad idea...

Breaking - Washington's top Returner Aarion McDonald set to Transfer Huge Loss for the Huskies

It will be interesting to see if she follows Neighbors to Arkansas.

WBB: Hearing that Washington transfer Aarion McDonald (who's from Fresno, CA) might be heading to Southern Cal, now coached by Mark Trakh

OSU added 5th year senior transfer Loryn Goodwin from UTSA. A combo guard who looks like a really good pick up this late in the summer. Will be eligible immediately.
