Gandy was a good athlete but a strange guy. I remember driving to a game and he walking to it. Tip was in 20 minutes. Shawn Clark had a standing vertical of 48 inches. Try and find dunk at Nebraska over Dave Hoppen. It our Anthony Bowie follow slam over a Georgia tech giant most impressive dunks in my long lifetime.

I don't know who Gandy was, but you nailed it with Clark and Pierce - BOTH who came to OU the same year Wayman did. I believe Clark had the second highest vertical in college hoops...forgot why he didn't make it to the finish line at OU.

Clark had NCAA troubles. Then, when it was finally all cleared up, they ruled him out of eligibility. It's been a while since I heard all the details. This would've been around 1986 or so. Supposedly the most un-Godly leaper in the history of the program.
