ESPN.com: Ranking college basketball's underappreciated coaches

There is absolutely no logic to that list. They just slapped a bunch of random names on there and posted a clickbait article.

Calipari and Wright are underappreciated? Next.

The story actually has three lists, which I should have specified:

1. Coaches who are underappreciated because they've never won titles (The John Beilein/Gregg Marshall category) -- this is the list I addressed in my opening post.

2. Coaches who are underappreciated because they've won so often their success is taken for granted (The John Calipari category)

3. Coaches who are underappreciated because they're coaching at schools that lack national brands (The Bob McKillop category)-- Kelvin Sampson came in #2 on this list.

I know there are three categories, but none of them make sense to me. Gregg Marshall is well known, and he's one of the highest paid coaches in the country. If anything, I think he's overappreciated, as most seem to discount what Turgeon did to help build up that program. Buzz Williams being on that list is an absolute travesty. Then of course the list with Calipari and Wright should be completely discarded.

You knew this list would be a "sore spot" for several on here!!

Personally, I "appreciate" having LK here and don't take him for granted.

UT "under appreciated" Barnes and look where that got them!
