Joe C. is talking to someone somewhere and any 2-bit secretary, trainer, etc. could be overhearing it and putting it out.

Everyone talks. It's just a matter of how much. If we had decent news media here, we'd know more.

That's what the ESPN Rumors page is supposed to be. It is where they post rumors or stories that have not been adequately sourced, yet.

The leaks of tidbits of information could also be coming from true insiders like a select group of regents or donors. No one will convince me that the only person who has any idea about the coaches being considered is the guy doing the search. A trusted donor tells his wife or a close friend and the secret that was is no longer well kept.
