ESPN's latest Bracketology has OU as a 6

Hard to believe OU is a 6 seed when not long ago most of us were worried about even sniffing a bid to the dance.

Seven conference teams in the tourney may be the biggest surprise of all. Wasn't the Big 12 supposed to be down this year?

The lowest seed I noticed was Baylor at 10. That means no one is even a bubble team according to ESPN

Long way to go, some teams may slump, but with the RPI of the conference this is the deepest league with final four contenders in KU and maybe OSU, and teams like us and ISU who could shoot lights out and surprise people and make a deep run. Granted we can and have gone ice cold shooting before, but we have upside to play even with great competition.

I will admit that I was one who thought this was a bubble team going into the season. If they hold court at home and just beat Tech and TCU on the road this team wins 12 conference games. If this team can't just keep getting better on defense a little at a time they are very dangerous. I am just super impressed with the job Kruger and his staff have done all around.

Don't feel bad, we all did. I'm still a little surprised by how well this team has played so far. Even in our four losses, none have been by more than 9 points. Two of the four were to MSU and Kansas.

I am happy where we are at this point in the season. But I sure wish we could (at the very least) pulled off a victory over KSU and La Tech. Sitting with two losses right now would be just that much sweeter!! Still, they have exceeded my expectations for sure.

Both of these things are surprising. I thought OU's record would be similar to what it is now, but I didn't think that would be impressive because I thought the conference was going to be bad.

The Big 12 is great in Basketball. Love the home and home I hope the football guys don't get paranoid and tear it to pieces

I'll fess up and admit that I wanted to see the conference go back to the original number of schools that gave the Big 12 its name. But now I want to keep the number at ten for the same reason you do. The home and home is the best way to go.

home and homes are the greatness.

used to call that the Big 8. which was sending 5 teams to the NCAA tournament in the last decade of it's life. over half the league obviously.

when the east coast leagues (Big East and ACC) do that, the network honks wet themselves.

and can't stop talking about how "historical" all of it is.....

I have been an OU basketball fan for a long time, so I remember the Big 8 well. I never really thought about how great the home and home was until this year. Guess I got accustomed to the 12 team format over the years and forgot that the home and home was one of the things I liked when there were only eight teams.
