Every game OU plays shows Capel is a great team builder.

This was his 3rd rebuilding job. VCU, then the disaster he inherited from Sampson and then his own unfortunate disaster by getting 3 rotten MCD AA apples.

This is the exact team he built on the fly except we would have Goff over Arent and I don't think anybody would argue Arent is better.

When Capel had talent he overachieved with his coaching. Based on what he did in his 2nd and 3rd years it's pretty much a lock we would have the same record we do under Kruger this season.

Lon Kruger would tell you the same thing.

OSU never trailed from the 16 minute mark in the first half to the end. They were winning by as much as 17, OU went on a run to cut it around 10, then OSU went on another run to make the lead 17 again with 7:00 left.

Cincy had some starters suspended after a brawl. Thats a big deal to lose any starters.

Plus, you aren't necessarily disagreeing with the point of my post, or at least you have not done so thus far.

I don't have a dog in this fight but I got to give credit to abd, pretty solid rebuttal with the Dr. Evil link. Well done.

I was hoping for good things from Capel, but the '08-09 trainwreck of a season was proof he was not a "great team-builder," at least in Norman. It's amazing that Capel still gets the benefit of the doubt just because some hated Kelvin long before "phone gate."
