Unless OU is aligned for another northern CA miracle such as the miracle with the 2005 class...I don't see us having a chance to land this recruit. She plays for a northern CA team that is basically housed 20 minutes from where the Paris twins attended high school, albeit she is from Oregon...home of the Oregon Trails tournament.

1. CA (northern and southern) pipeline is dried up and/or plugged up.
2. DeCosta is the recruiter for CA (I believe) and she was not respected while in northern CA as a college coach (San Jose St.)
3. Alums from this team appear to land on the west coast for college...must have a great relationship with them. I don't see OU as one of their "college links". http://www.calstars.org/page/show/96428-college-links

But it looks like former OU Video Coordinator Fred Castro is tapping into CA talent. He was at OU from 2001-2007 and is an OU alum. He's currently an asst. at Washington. He just signed Aarion McDonald who plays for Brookside Christian. The coach is Pico Wilburn who coached...get ready...in high school Devanae (sp) Hampton, Alexis Gray-Lawson and was an asst. to Jerry Gatewood's West Coast All Stars that included Paris', Hampton, Gray-Lawson, Arriaran (starting line-up...5 McD AA's).

Kelli Hayes now at UCLA was the last Bay Area kid OU looked at. She liked OU, but had her reasons for staying in California... If Sherri could get that pipe line back it would go a long way in helping us catch Baylor and Texas...

2017 Alaysia Styles 6'2 wing out of So Cal had been getting interest from OU, not sure about that anymore... Aquira Decosta #1 in the 2018 class would be the big fish here... I'm not even sure she's looking at OU but would be a great get.
