Familiar foe

Thanks for the information! I was very impressed by VCU. OU will have to play its "A-Game" to win this one. Cannot afford to miss free throws in this one.

I thought that OU was made for a deep run early this year, but their guard play (other than scoring from Buddy) isn't all that great. I never seen a team with this much experience make so many unforced turnovers.

The glass really is half empty, isn't it?

The 3 upperclassmen guards had 5 turnovers combined. OU likely won't lose a game in the tourney if the guards only have 5 combined turnovers. And combined they shot the ball great yesterday.

Having said that, the two starters on the front line need to play better going forward. The senior in particular did not have a good day yesterday.

The team had 10 turnovers yesterday, below our season average which is better than the average team.

The starting guards scored 54 points. That's not too shabby, in my opinion. Maybe you were expecting more, like the Golden State Warriors.

Looks like two evenly matched teams.

Edit: Well dang, I should have read to the bottom of the thread and seen I was beaten to the punch.

I was just giving him crap, but he does say it every thread lol. Sadly a lot of games lately have been way too close for comfort. But it's survive and advance now so I'm good with 1 point wins as long as we get 5 more of them.

On a side note, Eric McClellan of Gonzaga is a transfer from Tulsa (10.5 points/game)
