I've been waiting for a Sooner to become a Knick or a Net. The Mets are the only NYC team I have a rooting interest in. I'd like to see Fears playing here.

Jeremiah Fears, 6-foot-3 freshman point guard, Oklahoma: “I think he’s tremendous. Elite offensive player. The games I watched he didn’t do much defending. He reclassified up, so he should actually be a freshman this year. That’s a big plus for him. Didn’t play on a great team and they asked him to do a lot of things. Athletic, tough, will be a good defender. He’s got the whole package. He turned the ball over some, but those things happen. He can score on all three levels. Decent size.”

I read that as well (directly below)...$10-15 million difference...that's a lot of money for a rookie to leave on the table. Fears #5 in this latest Mock.

Yeah it sounds like he and his agents feel like there are teams where he would have a better chance to play a leading role from the outset, which I guess could also help him financially both in the near term (marketing) and long term (second contract). Definitely a gamble.

Trying to decide where I want Fears to go. Washington is one of the perennial dumpster fires. New Orleans and Brooklyn have at least had some recent success. I would hate for him to end up someplace where there is almost no chance of team success.
