Fire Porter Moser

Do we think Terry Stotts would take the job if offered? He is getting up there in age, and might be more of an NBA guy. But if he was interested at all, I think it would be a no brainer hire.
I can’t imagine he would want to do that. And I don’t know if it actually would be a good hire. NBA and college are very different games. And can you imagine an NBA guy having to deal with the constant issue of the portal and roster retention?

Kind of understand what you are saying, but also it worked out pretty well for BYU with Kevin Young. Granted they do have unlimited NIL funds. But they are fun to watch and fill up the scoreboard.

yeah from a coaching standpoint? Stotts would be great.
I highly doubt he would want to handle all of the portat and recruiting crap.
Would really need a GM like nagy in that case
Which I already think is necessary. If we want to be successful in the portal and recruiting in the NIL era, we are going to have to get a GM. I believe that almost every team in the SEC pretty much has one at this point one would think.

does anyone know when the new AD will be announced? I'm assuming the whole PM fire/replacement debacle will be on him/her, so it could be a while before this is addressed...which means more losses!

The new athletic director will probably be announced in 2028, that is when Castiglione is officially retiring

It's basically NBA free agency. He would just be more involved at the college level.

NBA players are under contact for multiple years and most coaches are not directly involved with free agency. No nba coach has to deal with constantly working to keep their roster together from year to year, or worry about renegotiating contracts during the season.

If we lose Saturday, I think we should add a trip to South America and see if we could lose in yet another Columbia. Something for Moser to strive for. And then he could tell us Columbia has better fan support and NIL.
