Fire Porter Moser

Loser is the only coach we have had in 50 years who hasn’t had success. Capel was terrible, don’t get me wrong. But at least he was able to get out of the way and let Blake do his thing and have one fantastic season. It’s ridiculous to say a coach can’t succeed at OU. How do you explain a coach succeeding at Vanderbilt? You think they had great fan support? Are they spending tens of millions on a roster? Good coaches win. Period.
THIS. its not rocket science, it's just basketball. Good coaches win. Look at IU football. One of the worst programs ever.. did they have fan support? They dont have a single 4 or 5 star player I believe.. whining about how tough the OU job is laughable to me. There's no expectations (apparently.. thanks Loser). And oh yeah, you get paid multiple millions of dollars a year.. yeah, it'll be tough to find someone to force themselves to take this job

The fight feels like it has left the program. We are dead men walking and I fear this season could turn out worse than year 2 under Moser. There is no way he survives to next year. The apathy has set in for me. I'm having a tough time even turning on the games (but I do because I hate myself, I guess).

Probably a good time to look at possible coaching candidates or wants salaries/buyouts.

Jerrod Calhoun- Salary: 1.85 Million. Buyout: 2.96 Million
Bryan Hodgson- Salary: 1.25 Million Buyout: 2 Million
Andy Enfield - Salary: 3.81 Million? Buyout: Probably little more than that.
Josh Shertz - Salary: 2 Million Buyout: 200k
Fred Hoiberg- Salary: 4.25 Million Buyout: 13.5 Million

*Yes you can mark the Hoiberg wish off the list. We obviously wouldn't pay that. I would be interested to see if Kentucky called what he'd do, because Kentucky would pay that.

If there's someone you're curious about just ask and i'll dig it up.

He could come back yet again somehow (if we want to save that 5 million toward even more football commitment).

but i think Loser Moser will lose enough to force the issue this year. I fear my 17-13 prediction might be too high..

This stat is a grim reminder of PM’s four years (or is it five? ) at OU—Let this sink in!

“Moser holds a 23-43 conference record as OU's head coach.”

A friend at work is taking his son to the game Saturday because his son is a Bama fan. He asked for any suggestions about parking. I more or less told him he would have his pick of spots in the lot. And in the arena. 🤣

Tell him a couple other things. To not be afraid to move down closer. If you happen to end up in someone's seat, just slide over a couple seats because the other 15 in the row will be empty also.

Next, tell him to not worry about traffic leaving. OU fans will be cleared out by the time they leave.

Worst OU coach in how many years? Forever? This is historic futility for the OU program.

.348 conference winning %....

imagine his overall win % if he didn't schedule 300 SOS teams in non-con....

Lost pretty much every gah dang rival game that had nice crowds and which he could have built momentum with. Total bum

Hes unequivocally the worst OU basketball coach in my lifetime and probably ever

But for 2 (I'll give him 3) seasons.. he has been a failure at every school and honestly his best coaching was done at UA-LR. Maybe he should kick the tires back there again

But for Cameron Krutwig and Jeremiah Fears, i believe that Loser Moser may not even be in the basketball industry...

Loser is about to buried by a teenager lol. Good read and spot on except where lusk still somehow calls Loser a good coach
Agree on the last point. I don’t see anything good about his coaching. I think some writers and fans just can’t get past the fact that they “like” him, and/or they can’t acknowledge that bad coaches can get to the FF if their team gets hot for two weeks. I mean, OU managed to win three in a row last March to get into the tournament. Moser wasn’t a good coach. Fears carried the team.

That's his conference winning percentage just at OU. But his career conference winning % skyrockets up to .440 if you count his 17 years in the Missouri Valley/Horizon League.

His Final Four run with Loyola was merely a blip.

Long read, but was a pretty good read.
Really good read. I think he’s spot on. OU basketball apathy is a different breed. I think it’s gonna take sustained success to really build momentum. Something Moser cant do. And sustained success is going to take a skilled coach who sticks around three or four years. That is definitely a challenge.

BUT, I’m so glad he puts the NIL stuff to rest. That is not the problem this season. Not even close.

He was a lazy hire.
