Fire Porter Moser

Boulder, is there a way to file a message board restraining order? I am concerned for my safety -- dude probably has alerts on his phone to make sure he remembers to mention me at least 10 times a day.

Also, in your attempt to make fun of me, you got your facts wrong in the first sentence of your post. Well done.
I believe that’s called ‘living rent free in his head’ lol

by the way the reason he WILL BE FIRED no matter what happens from here on out .. is that he has lost the fan base (and can't get it back)

OU bball tanking to 4kish season ticket holders .. gets him fired ..

sr. night crowd looked pretty dismal
ridiculous that the box score says attendance was 5,773. looked more like 773

I don't see us winning at Texas if that's the butterfly effect, fwiw* This late "win streak" is a nice step up from the SEC basement but that's about all it is.

Btw, 20 wins as a criterion is an anachronism from when teams played about 5-8 less games in a season.

*You can call it a classic Moser build up a hope and lose by 10. I also call it a 50 year Sooner fan hunch. This "win streak", energy draining out of the program for years, about as far as we could go. Shoulda swept Mizzou but fun to beat them yesterday

I agree Boulder. Said this on TOS a few weeks ago. Even if we go 3-1 the rest of the way, unless we get an NCAA at-large bid (which i think may take 5-1), I don't think he keeps his job. Denny may like him, like his vision, love his energy, like how the team finished, like how the team plays hard, loves how he's not a problem or negative image....

But money talks. And the money, in season ticket sales, attendance, and most likely when it comes to NIL harvesting in a few weeks, has all dried up.

There comes a point where keeping him becomes almost if not more expensive than paying the $5.3M buyout.

If OU can pull off a miracle and make it to the Dance, firing him won't be as easy since they've been winning games in spite of not having a home court advantage. Regardless, all those empty seats on senior night was telling for sure. That inexcusable 1-9 start to the conference obviously was the cause of all those empty seats. While we're all excited about a new era, I'm going to try to remember that this season isn't quite over just yet...and beating Texas would give them an enormous amount of momentum heading into Nashville next week. If we lose to Texas, everyone knows we're not winning five games next week, so the countdown can officially begin.

But how much are we losing in ticket sales vs his buyout? Genuinely don't know the answer.

We used to be a storied program, but that was 20 years ago. We've fallen to the point that we can't fire a coach that had 3 20 win seasons and back to back NCAA tourney appearances. Obviously a big if, but Moser will keep his job if he keeps winning.

That's just what Wichita says when he can't refute what's being said. He's used that line on 10 different posters here, many of which were excellent contributors that have since left because they couldn't stand reading his gibberish. He'll never admit being wrong, but his childish insults are an indirect admission.

with donations and gate my guess is 2 mil a year .. and that number will continue to go up ..

5+ mil buy out (paid over the full term monthly ..) with off set if / when he gets another job ..

he will get about job .. at close 750-1 mil a year that takes the buy out down to 3 mil . .

also keeping him increases those ticket and donation loses ..

The mini surge to end the season is really just prolonging the agony. Like most fans, I simply cannot keep myself from being pleased when they win. So in a sense I appreciate the way they have kept it together down the stretch and have avoided total embarrassment or hitting unseen program depths. This season feels just a whole lot like every other season since 2016— each one maybe differing by a handful of games to make it more or less palatable. The nine game losing streak was unique and added an element of hopelessness this year, but ultimately the results are going to be similar to these previous seasons that all kind of run together now— very much including the end of the Lon era as well.

So while I can’t do it, I’m thinking it might be best to just lose in Austin Sat and eliminate any prayer of an at large (because there WILL be a prayer for it if they win). It’s time to move on and the sooner the better. I really don’t want to find myself doing the at large gymnastics and checking the various sites (which I WILL start doing if they win).

Man I'm starting to nervously lean the other way now with these pointless wins, the $$ to fire, pay buyout, pay new HC and his buyout, and get new HC his players, new AD who has a get out of jail card bc its not his hire, and we are going all-in on football... I'm puckered rn
