Fire Porter Moser

I agree Boulder. Said this on TOS a few weeks ago. Even if we go 3-1 the rest of the way, unless we get an NCAA at-large bid (which i think may take 5-1), I don't think he keeps his job. Denny may like him, like his vision, love his energy, like how the team finished, like how the team plays hard, loves how he's not a problem or negative image....

But money talks. And the money, in season ticket sales, attendance, and most likely when it comes to NIL harvesting in a few weeks, has all dried up.

There comes a point where keeping him becomes almost if not more expensive than paying the $5.3M buyout.
Not to mention, it's another complete roster rebuild.

Gone will be 5 of what I would call our top 7 from this year (Pack, Davis, Wague, Jones, and Elatontsev). Brown and Reid return.

A strong finish and the potential to return maybe 4 of those 7? I'd still kick Moser to the curb, but an argument could be made. But it's another nearly completely knew roster, something Moser hasn't shown he can deal with.

Would be funny if Moser finally finds a way to beat Texas for once, probably will win. IMO OU is a better team than them. Winning games now just speaks louder to how poor a job he's done coaching the team this year. To think I actually had high expectations this year based on the talent level, funny always forget about the other part on the sidelines that determines wins and losses.

I can't believe we've been to the tourney exactly 1 time out of 5 seasons. FML
I'm not as hard on the OU Administration for the fall of OU men's basketball as some, but with a stat like that, I really don't see how they can afford to not move in a different direction. MOST OU basketball fans don't expect the world. Expectations aren't crazy high. But we gotta be a tournament team 75% of the time. Something like that is a bare minimum.

Channeling “well actually” guy, Ou did beat texas in Austin last year. But it has been an epic failure against texas even dating back to last few years of Kruger.

Both of you really need to knock it off. Seriously.
He takes personal shots at me constantly and I ignore most of them, so don't try to act like we are equally at fault. I only reply to some because it's obvious the mods aren't doing anything about it.

If he retains his job, it will be because he made it 2/5. Moser has to lose at least one more game to lose his job, possibly two. I suspect he will, but it's a team that could go either way on any given night at this point.

In hindsight, I had pretty high expectations 20 years ago. But the fanbase has pretty well flatlined at this point. It's mostly performance, but is also the game. Really good and really bad seasons typically mean complete roster turnover. Love the transfer portal for football, but it's been complete chaos for basketball.

I think I would even accept a losing record at this point if we won 10 conference games. Hasn't happened in the decade since Buddy left.

The won at Austin LAST YEAR! What’s this beating Texas “for once”?!? Memory problems?
