Fire Porter Moser

Anyone know if these numbers are real?

“OU MBB NIL totaled a paltry $375 K. This year, we had $850 K. In comparison, last year - Kansas totaled $6.8 million for their team. Want a WBB stat? South Carolina women’s basketball NIL this year was $3.9 million”

Man, this is the worst of both worlds. The silver lining to missing the tournament was supposed to be getting rid of Moser.
One tournament appearance in five years and even that one was a sweat-it-out sneak in 9-seed, and yet people still defend this guy. I’m sick of the excuses. We are not talking about “why aren’t we competing for championships?“ The bar we are discussing here is making the 68-team field. That’s not a high bar to meet.

Course it’s not real. Nijel Pack got in that range himself.

There is ZERO chance those numbers are accurate for OU. Not last year. Not this year.

Fire the new AD for rehiring Porter "Bubbles" Moser. This was like FDR hiring Herbert Hoover to be Treasury Secretary in 1933 to combat the depression.

That's basically what FDR did though. Read the stuff his money guys did they pretty much kept Hoover's policies in tact.

We've literally paid a buyout any time we've fired a coach. We've fired a lot of coaches.

I'll go one step further, how many OU coaches have left that weren't fired or didn't retire? That would mean either their contract ran out or they left for a better/different job. Not many. They'll pay buyouts to get rid of coaches they don't want. They've done it Joe's entire tenure. How many coaches overstayed their welcome that weren't people that could name their exit date (ie, Bob Stoops, Sherri Coale, etc)?
How many coaches has OU truly fired? Name them. I mean in any sport. most firings are because of NCAA compliance issues. OU doesn't fire coaches because they don't have money. I am not talking assistant coaches, those are immaterial. But head coaches, name the firings.

Hate to give a history lesson here, but FDRs 1st Secretary of the Treasury was a financier, Henry Morganthau Jr., not Herbert Hoover.

you didn't know anything in december because you couldn't have known anything at that time because denny hadn't been hired.
pretty simple.
I knew OUs history. OU doesn't fire head coaches. Capel was fired because he had OU in major NCAA hot water. No head coaches fired in football, basketball, women's basketball, I guess Hughes was fired in baseball. But the # of firings is so few and far between, there was just no way they would fire a squeaky clean coach like Moser. I knew this and said this back in December.

Capel was fired. Pete Hughes fired. John Blake Fired. That' all I can think of since Joe C.

Read his biography sometime he essentially said we just continued everything Hoover had going and kept it going that's why the Great Depression never really improved till after WW2. BTW FDR recruited Hoover to run as a democrat in the 1920s.
