Forget Kobe and Lebron James.

Based on accomplishment it's D-Wayne so far. When healthy history has shown us you can put him with any other teammates and he will take them on a run.

02-03 - Heat win 25 games
Summer 03 - Draft D-Wade
03-04 - Wade bursts on the scene taking the Heat within 1 game of the Conference Finals.
04 - Heat blow up team, bring in Shaq and some journeymen, send everybody else to the Lakers.
04-05 - Wade takes his new teammates to the conference Finals losing in game 7 to the Pistons.
04-05 - Kobe does not even make the playoffs with the same guys D-Wade took within a game of the conference finals the previous year.
05-06 D-Wade wins finals MVP with the best NBA finals performance in recent history. Jordan never took over a series this dramatically.
06-07 Injuries start
07-08 Injuries continue and the Heat dismantle their aging team winning only 15 games.
08-09 Health returns and here he goes again. Leading a new young cast on a playoff run.

The jury is still out on Lebron because as Playmakr said he is just 24, but vs Kobe it's not even close. D-Wade in a landslide. Now the Kobe lovers can chip in with their excuses and explanations. For D-Wade, no excuses are needed, just throw him out there with 4 other guys and he will take them on a run, including Marquette to the final 4.

Your 04-05 comment is a joke. Put Kobe and the Lakers in the Eastern Conference and they make the playoffs and probably win at least a series if not two.

In addition to what Grace said, this comment is also a joke.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

Kobe, LJ, D-Wade are all great players. Each has the ability to carry a team by himself. When asked, both LJ and DW have said over and over that Kobe is the best because of his ability to lock down the other teams best player. Both talked about how KB set the tone during the Olympic run to the gold. He told the coach to focus the offense on LJ and DW, and he would concentrate on defense....

LJ has worlds of talent, but until this yr had never shown an interest in playing defense. Now that he realizes it is a must, we see that he can be a great defender. Wade can be a great defender as well, but has never shown the defensive intensity of Kobe. You could interchange all 3 players and the gains/losses would have minimal differences. ANYONE who says any of the 3 is not close to the other 2 is just biased or making noise, PERIOD.

Am I allowed to personally insult Kirk Hinrich on this web site?

Kansas does a good job of teaching the art of choking away free throws.

can I make fun of Ben Gordon for making a total joke of himself in overtime?

Do you want some ketchup with it?

let's not act like lebron is a vastly superior defender than dwyane, who has won games with his defense and finished second in steals per this season. not to mention the record he set for being the first 6'4 player in the history of the league to get 100 blocks. is he a great lock down defender? that's debatable. but he puts up some impressive defensive stats.
Wade gets so many steals not simply because he's quick, but largely because he gambles so much on the defensive end. Traditional defensive stats like blocks and steals are among the most highly misleading stats. For example, Wade averages more steals and blocks than Shane Battier, but Battier is a far better defender. That's why you can't read too much into traditional individual defensive measures.

LeBron IS a vastly superior defender. The Cavs didn't win 21 more games this season simply by adding Mo Williams; rather, it was because LeBron fully dedicated himself to playing defense. He played balls to the wall defense night in, night out, demanded the toughest individual defensive assignments, and his teammates fed off of it. LeBron finished second to Dwight Howard in the NBA DPOY voting this season, and he's a lock for the NBA All-Defensive first team.

The Heat wouldn't win 15 games w/o Dwyane Wade, you saw that last year. Look at them now w/ a healthy Wade. They are going to beat the Hawks, and could surprise the Cavs.

Look at the team chemisty Lebron has created with the Cavs this year, that is a perfect example on his leadership.
His team is full of average players and he lead them to the best record in the NBA, I really question if Kobe would have the same impact on the Cavs team or if they would be similar to his teams from 2004-07 when his team's talent level was similar to the Cavs make up this year.

This :clap

Kobe Bryant never had a player like Mo Williams after Big Daddy left town. Give Kobe Mo Williams, and they win 2 more championships.
