Im interested in how our former commit will play tomorrow in their season's tipoff. Seemed like he maybe got a raw deal with some of his school's shady dealings.

Sounds like Walker has REALLY been working hard on his game this year, so ultimately, i think we got the right guy. but im really interested how Gio looks

I forgot all about McLean. It will be interesting to see what kind of numbers he puts up in his first game. Post a box score if you find one.

On a related note, I'll also be interested to see how Hornbeak does for Monmouth this year.

i aske buddy the other day about Hornbeak. He said that Jelon was doing great and was voted team captain.

It would have been nice if had stayed but good luck to him. He would have been a good 6th man these last 2 years.

Hornbeak is a great what-if: If he stays, do we offer Dinjyl/Gio? Do we offer Mitch Solomon with an extra guard in the fold? Does that cause us to miss on, among others, Manyang or Bolden? Does Strong consider us?

I hope he has a great year. If his point game has improved, he might have a spot in the Summer League or overseas.

I am pretty sure Mitchell Solomon was offered by OU and chose OSU. Could be wrong though.

I am not knocking the kid but I wasn't disappointed when he chose OSU. I am not sure he would have seen any time the last two years for OU if Manyang wasn't hurt. The kid plays hard but watching him the last 5 years I don't think he is as good as Lattin.

Solomon's family are huge aggies from Bixby. No surprise he ended up in Stillwater...

Only an exhibition game, but he came off the bench, starters were his friend from Grace Prep (Jr.), a sophomore and redshirt freshman. Some were saying Je'lon would be MEAC POY when he transferred...anyone want that bet?

He's only a junior so that may not be a bet you want to make.

I am not surprised he went to OSU but at the time I was shocked he was offered by the schools he was. He struggled with guys his own size in high school and had issues with breathing too. Thought he had a medical issue but doctors told him he didn't. He did have two good weekends on the summer circuit and the coaches jumped to offer him.

I hope he does well since he is an OK preps player, that being said as an OU fan, i was pleased he didn't choose OU.

I'll be interested to see how he turns out once Ford is gone. Its hard to judge post players in Ford's system. Theres usually just one on the court to help defend the other teams post player and to chase down the rebounds from all the 3's taken by his teammates.

update for fun on McLean. he looks to be their best player and possibly an upgrade on Walker.

Walker has been good in spurts but he will likely not be a difference maker in winning a game or not in march.. but hes a good kid who works hard, he just might very well be the guy that hits a big shot for us

Looks about the same as Walker. Walker could score a bunch of points if he was allowed to be a volume shooter on a bad team. McLean is shooting 36% from the field.

Walker has been in a bit of a slump of late, but he's a competent player. I'm not holding my breath thinking we're going to lose our lead when he comes in the game.

Walker has been played bad as of late . Earlier this year he played his role of the bench perfect , now he's seems to be slipping . If James plays like he did last night , then he should be the first of the bench

Walker has been putting bricks up the last 2 games. I don't think he has made one shot in those 2. He needs to put in some Jordan Woodard type hours for his shooting. One very nice assist last night
