This kid is going to go down as one of the bigger recruiting steals in recent memory. To get him as late as we did.....man, I think the kid is going to be a player. Sweet stroke. Showed signs of being able to go around his man and finish or dish in the paint. His D has gotten MUCH better of late. Can rebound a little. I honestly don't get some of the concerns about his game that some of the recruiting sites had. Kid is a player. Might end up being the 2nd best guard out of Hield, Cousins, Hornbeak, and himself, when it's all said and done.

His all around game has been much better than I anticipated. He seems like a really good teammate too. Great late pickup as you said.

That no-look baseline feed was freakin sweet. Nice block on Smart too...

He just keeps getting better and better each game. Has some defensive lapses but that is freshman stuff. Really excited to see how this kid grows. Great pick up by Kruger and staff.

No doubt about it. Booker is going to be a really good player before he's through. His stroke is so perfect, every shot he takes looks like it's going in. He's solid fundamentally and he plays good defense. Coach Kruger has no problem at all in putting him in the game in any situation. You can tell Frank is a smart kid who was well coached in high school.

Kruger gets his players ready quickly. Everyone is prepared to make plays their first season under him.

Booker isn't near the athlete as our 3 soph, saying he may be second best is a stretch at best . Saying that he played good tonight but his season as a whole is freshman like.
His ceiling is just not as high as our other guards and defense ( like most freshman ) is a huge weakness. He also carrying some bad weight , another offseason will help him a lot.

I don't believe that. He is every bit as athletic as Horbeak is. Maybe moreso. And he is more skilled as a frosh than Cousins was. Let it play out. I like Booker's upside. Maybe his development stalls at some point, but Hield is the only one of the three I'd definitely say will have the better career.

He will be the second best out of this group. Hes a better athlete than given credit for. He's Pledger with more hops.

I think he'll always be defined by his shooting. If he becomes a bit more consistent then the rest of his game is just icing.

I pretty much agree. Perhaps Cousins and Hield are slightly more cat like but Booker is a very good athlete. All five OU guards are as athletic as anyone in the conference. None of them are like Pledger or Fitzgerald (who were both solid players but hurt by a lack of speed)

Somebody compared him to Cade Davis earlier tonight, and my first reaction was nah.

But after I thought about it, that is a pretty good comparison. Underrated guard athleticism-wise. Has some size. Known as a shooter, but can put it on the floor some. I think Booker can defend better down the road. Just a guy that isn't great on the offensive end, but is "good" at a couple of things. Cade's biggest problem was consistency. Well, that and the fact that we asked him to do too much. Booker won't have that problem. I think LK will put him in good positions, and he'll keep growing as a player.

I can see the Cade Davis comparison.

Cade would have flourished under kruger

Davis could hit shots be he did not have the pretty shot of Frank Booker. Cade's shot had way to much ark in it. Nobody played harder than Cade Davis. I would take 13 guys like him.

The way college bball is played these days you need great shooters to space the court - Booker has such a smooth stroke and is going to be invaluable in the next couple of years.

Really a steal, should have been rated top 75. I expected a marginal high d1 athlete that could shoot. We got a kid that could start for most d1 schools as an upperclassmen. If he works really hard, who knows.

I think the Cade comparison is a good one. I like Booker's shot better though
