He is participating in Senior Day. Doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't plan to return next season, but does seem like a sign that he is at least thinking about moving on because if he was sure he'd be back next year, there would be no reason to be honored today.

Have we ever had anybody participate in senior day that came back? Seems like the writing is on the wall.

Freeman is playing like he’s already in New Zealand mentally.

Interesting. Opens up a spot for a transfer. I'd prefer a strong power conference transfer, but a grad transfer would be alright in this scenario.

Since the inference is that this is his last game, I hope he at least makes a 3 before it's over.

Freeman didn’t play much, but he had two turnovers, missed both of the shots he took and picked up one foul on a feeble attempt to play defense. He just didn’t look like a player who was focused on the game today, which is why I made thst observation.

Would it surprise me if he left after the season is over? Not one bit. He had planned to leave last year until the coaching staff convinced him to stay.

Matt was not as good as I expected him to be. But, he has been a good teammate, a great student and an outstanding representative of the program and the university. If this is indeed his last season, I will wish him well in whatever he decides to do going forward.

Like Amani Bledsoe in football before it was official that the ncaa would steal a year from him

This. And he has had made some key contributions this season, hit some important shots. He never achieved the consistency we wanted to see from him (and I'm sure he was hoping to be more consistent, too), but he is/was a good Sooner and I wish him the best, whether he's in Norman next season or elsewhere.

No secret boys.

We've been saying this for a few weeks that he is graduating this year. It would be a shock if his scholarship isn't available for somebody else next year.

Matt is a great kid but just wasn't quick enough defensively or with his shot against the better teams. The game was faster than he could play.
