Apparently for common core educational requirements kids are being taught some different stuff for math than we learned. If the question is 5X3 an answer of 15 while right does not earn 100%. The kid has to also write 5+5+5=15 or something like that. It may be 3+3+3+3+3=15 or even both but you do more than just answer the question now. There have been some stories about this in the media because parents are frustrated when they see their kid got the question right but didn't get full credit.
This child's answer is awesome. If you don't get it, immediately (and don't want to read the story) just read the question. He did exactly what was asked.
