GAME 16 - #16 OKLAHOMA (13-2) @ GEORGIA (13-2) 5pm CST on ESPN2

Fitting end for sure...Fears turning it over dribbling off his own legs. Holy hell
Call me crazy… but I don’t get this “lottery pick” about him.

I get he’s pretty good, lots of upside, has to deal with an avg supporting cast (with no real big) but man, these last 3 games he has had some really bad TO’s…. Without a lot of pressure..

Fears has come back down to earth for sure. He needs to stay in college a few years. Unfortunately, he won’t be here next season either way.

Even though I predicted a bad season, one that included 5 SEC wins, I think the worst part of all of this for me...

There just isn't much you can do at this point.

The roster, especially with Nwankwo and/or Jones out, isn't up to par with most of the league (we'll see on SoCar, Vandy, Missouri).

You aren't going to outrebound many teams. Your bigs aren't good (Godwin is okay).

Maybe implement Nolan's 40 Minutes of Hell? Lol...play 4 guards a lot. Get Forsythe more minutes. Press, press, press. On offense, run Goody and/or Duke off a billion screens. Make the other team tired af.

IDK, joking a little. Grasping at straws for what they can even try that may work.

I agree. It’s an almost exact repeat of 2022-2023 from a roster standpoint. It’s frustrating but the roster just isn’t good enough to win. Partly because of injuries and partly because of coaching. But there’s not much Moser can do right now.

I fundamentally disagree with all of this portion

Yeah I was optimistic for a sec when we went undefeated in non-con, but then as soon as we got smoked by Bama and then blew the 18-point lead at home against a team that quite frankly did not impress me, I knew we were bad. Really, really bad. These next 3 conference games are very, very winnable BUT I think we will find out exactly what this team AND this staff is made of. I don't have much optimism TBH. If they can't bounce back and beat a very bad Texas team and South Carolina then you would think there's not much hope of winning a single game moving forward and if that's the case Moser should absolutely be let go.

This is a very different team, athletically, with JN and JJ. They were supposed to be starters. You can’t fault Moser for the injuries. Miles and Elvis should be coming off the bench. Goodine should only be playing if he has a good shooting night. Could Moser scheme better. Most likely. But after watching the first three games it’s just a repeat of 2022-2023 when OU was the least athletic team in the conference.

The injury excuse should not be used to save Moser’s job, but I think we would be kidding ourselves if we think it hasn’t made a difference in conference play.

I need to revise my conference wins prediction. I’m guessing 5 wins now, maybe 6. It’s a hopeless situation. I’m pretty much checked out now. I have zero faith in this team, in this coaching staff, in the program leadership.

Did anyone listen to Loser after the game? In a game where we got outrebounded by 9, were outscored by 15 points in the final 21 mins, turned it over 7 times in the second half, and couldn’t do crap offensively for the final 8 minutes, he spent most of his interview talking proudly about how hard we competed and how tough we were. If he actually believes this, he is not only a terrible coach, he is the least self aware person on the planet.

6 wins is looking like the max. My preseason o/u of 17.5 total wins may be in play after all. We may well be the worst team in the league.

Games like today are why the Texas Aggie game was a game you just had to win no matter what.
Yup. Which is why it annoys me when the merry band of sunshine pumpers tell the rest of us that we're all crazy or unrealistic being pissed off about choking it away (one of them posted, "did you expect to go undefeated?").

Porter Leslie Moser couldn't go undefeated even in a tic tac toe tournament at a kid's school for the blind

Grasping at straws seems appropriately when you look at what we are working with in the front court. Maybe go 4 guards and Moore?

Most identified the fact we replaced Hugley with Wague that we were taking a step back there. A healthy hugley is probably sufficient but we certainly couldn’t downgrade there.
