GAME 20 - OKLAHOMA (11-8) @ MISSOURI (13-6) 1:00pm CST on ESPN2

Coaching :

Putting Wague in to guard the ball and the passer full court after a horrific game At end of reg

Leaving Pack in after a timeout to defend their guards in last minute of OT. Blew his assignment and gave up 2.

Letting them take a 3 pointer down two in OT

lol.. as he’s dribbling? Nope. I do agree the officiating totally sucked.. on both ends really
This is my shocked face. I get MU got lucky, but Moser had chances to reduce that luck. I just don’t get him. I rarely feel so baffled by a coach, never seen any OU basketball coach with zero identity.

I'm still not convinced he's a dead man walking. I could see him here again next year if you can believe that.. I've heard no rumors about even a hot seat yet....
That would be utterly ridiculous. And if somehow true shows the slow boil of mediocrity the athletic department has allowed itself to be embroiled in. If the new AD doesn't do something at least by a few days after the season we're screwed as an athletic department. Total apathy and incompetence run amok.

Watch the last possession again. No OU player even tried to get in front of him or make turn. He is a big man. Imagine if Mo or Kirill had the ball in that situation. If you simply make him turn or do anything to force him to deviate from his path, he likely doesn’t even get a shot. Reid ran next to him for 40 feet but was so concerned about fouling that he essentially didn’t defend him. This isn’t bad luck, folks. It’s a poorly coached team making the same mistakes over and over.

Even if you foul the big man and give him three free throws I bet he misses atleast one. I agree. Gotta turn him. It’s basic basketball.

Nah you make your own luck. Loser creates razor thin margins bc hes an awful "coach", like how he doesnt demand blocking out. So we give up 20 something OBoards, which lead to easy points. Then it makes these other plays that don't go our way seem huge, but they shouldn't have been.
The rebounding was horrible, not arguing that. But they still had to make two difficult 3’s at the end…and made both of them. We make one before half, and of course it doesn’t count because of the bobble. Mitchell is the guy you want shooting it if you’re OU….and hitting a shot when dribbling full speed is not easy for a guard. He was defended fairly well…and he sure AF don’t want to foul him there. It felt like two losses to me.

sadly OU under this coach has had too much misfortune in last second game ending defense.

Last thing you wanna do is foul him…unless he was going in for a dunk or lay up.

Not defended well at all. Reid running three feet to his left with his hands in the air accomplishes nothing.

It’s a sick feeling being an Oklahoma basketball fan in 2026 but really the last 5 years
It always hurts me when we lose. But, the pain would have been worse if we had to go through the remainder of the season knowing Moser will be back next year!

This was just one of many coaching screw ups we had to endure. Another loss is worth the price we had to pay to see him go!

Yeah I know. But if you make an effort to turn him and you foul that’s not a death sentence. But I guess neither is letting a 25% three point shooter shoot.

We can argue about the final shot all day. But the offense during OT was awful. Disorganized. No idea what they wanted. Jacking up threes up by two. It’s just a mess everywhere.

Just to put things into perspective.

A win today would have put them at 12-8.

Even if they could have went on this magical run, won all their home games, and stole one on the road that would still put them at 20 wins and probably still needed a win in the SEC tournament to get in.

It wasn’t a wide open shot though…and I think they were not trying to foul him. The kid made a tough shot…can you agree with that?

I listened to Moser's post game, he said they didn't foul at the end of regulation in fear of the new "continuation" rule. Uhh, you always foul around halfcourt when they are trying to get the ball to the frontcourt....it isn't that difficult to execute and avoid fouling while in the act of shooting. This is junior high stuff.....he can't get the hell away from out program soon enough.

I gotta agree. Interestingly enough.. I think having a new AD actually helps moser. Gives him a “grace year” to see how he does.. to see what the AD wants from him
