Essentially, yes, here where he inexplicably benched a 6/7 3 pt shooter guy especially after he helped win his last conference game 9 losses prior..

Of all our losses, I’d def put a handful on Porter, I’d put a handful on us simply getting beat by a better team, but I’d also put a few on the players. We hit what 14 3’s today? In some of our losses we’ve hit 3 or 4. Not to mention missed FT’s or stupid TO’s that have cost us.

But in the end, it all falls back on the HC..and that is why he will be gone.

I wasn't a big atak guy but I figured you at least do a heat check every game. A 6/7 3 pt shooting performance from atak could have won every single conference game but Miss St.

I certainly didn’t think we would play like we have the past two games in every conference game, but I did think we’d have at least 3-4 other games where it was close to this. If we had, we’d be like 7-5 or 6-6 in conference…with a likely tourney birth.

This team could beat (almost) any team in the country on the right night…or lose to a .500 team in the power conf by 20+. Oh what could have been…but it may work out for the best IF we might the right hire.

Reid, Atak, Forsythe, and Rogers wouldn’t be an awful base for a new coach to build around. Big IF they stay

We were up on the #7 rated team by 16. We didn’t win, but most certainly could beat that team if we played like we have most recently. My point was this team is simply too inconsistent, which is why we only have 3 conf wins.

I think that if we played one game against each top 15 team on a neutral floor, we would maybe win one or two. Gonzaga and Florida showed what happens when we play teams with good front courts, and a lot of the top teams have those. Other teams have good enough guards to torch our defense. Vandy is the only certain tournament team we have beaten, and they were missing their best player. There is no doubt we would have a few more wins if we had a competent coach, but we aren’t in the same weight class as the top teams. Our extra wins would have been against teams like South Carolina, Miss St, Mizzou, Texas, etc.
