There’s zero chance all those guys will be at OU next seasonReid, Atak, Forsythe, and Rogers wouldn’t be an awful base for a new coach to build around. Big IF they stay
Hopefully OU can pay them enough to stick around and hear out the new coach. There’s zero chance all those guys will be at OU next season

Exactly. No idea how people are still so naive about this stuff. We can’t even keep players when we keep coaches, but people think we might keep four guys if/when there is a change? There’s zero chance all those guys will be at OU next season
I think we lose everyone imo and thats probably okay.Forsythe is likely staying no matter what. They need to find a way to pay for at least Atak. Rogers should be that hard to keep moneywise. There is a base here that could develop for whoever is next. Flipping rosters every year is the main problem we've had under Porter anyway nobody has really developed over time that much. Forsythe was stunted a bit this year with the ankle injuries he's only just gotten back to 100%
If they somehow stupidly keep this clown then just burn the whole program down. Why would any OU basketball fan stay loyal and interested? Is THERE ANY …. chance that moser doesn’t a canned?… I’m glad we won but man … if that means he’s stays UGH
I don't see it unless they think they can keep most of the young guys and pay more for a better roster next year. But to me the issue seems to be constructing rosters just aren't something Porter can do he's failed at it too much.Is THERE ANY …. chance that moser doesn’t a canned?… I’m glad we won but man … if that means he’s stays UGH
Make the tournament, and he stays.
Probably just winning the tournament really.i think that's probably correct.
but that means winning out and maybe even winning a game or 2 in the tournament...
pretty slim chance.
He is staying no matter what. Lol. OU isn't going to buy him out.Make the tournament, and he stays.
Do you have some inside information? I don’t think there’s any chance he stays. He is staying no matter what. Lol. OU isn't going to buy him out.

They could make you coach, and I would still follow loyally. If they somehow stupidly keep this clown then just burn the whole program down. Why would any OU basketball fan stay loyal and interested?
I could do a better job than LoserThey could make you coach, and I would still follow loyally.![]()
Buy out is only like 4-5 mil after this year. He is gone.He is staying no matter what. Lol. OU isn't going to buy him out.
The buyout at the end of the season is $5.3M.Buy out is only like 4-5 mil after this year. He is gone.
The problem is still the same NIL is just too small to really compete for the top half of the conference so you will probably see the team lacking somewhere next year. The buyout at the end of the season is $5.3M.
And that is my biggest concern. With an easier schedule in the back half, can he get enough wins to be "respectable" in Denny's eyes, with having some likeability and energy? And if the team continues to play hard? I think it has to get in the tourney to salvage his job, and that probably means 7-8 more wins, or 4 in Nashville. Both scenarios almost impossible. But does he do "just enough"? Not saying he deserves it- he doesn't- but does a new AD come in and fire him 3 weeks into the job?
Because if he does, he's going to have to find a way to raise $5.3M to buy him out, likely $4-5M for a new coach, increased $$ for staff, and a higher NIL budget for a new coach, probably demanding at least $6-8M. A lot of money to raise for a guy less than a month on the job.
The flip side is he probably will have an even more difficult time raising money/NIL money if he keeps him. I think PM has lost the BMDs and fans' support, regardless of what Denny may think or any grace period he could be willing to give. The NC State example applies perfectly here- don't let one month influence five years of evidence.
