GAME 3 - OKLAHOMA (2-0) VS STETSON (1-2) - 1PM CST on SECNETWORK

Said this before, with kids out and everyone new we probably won’t have a really good idea of what we have until a few games into conference play

Looks pretty clear we will normally shoot the ball better from the perimeter

Moser said Goodine suited up and hoped to play but he still couldn't push off the injured ankle. Moser sounded frustrated--not with Goodine, just that the healing of the ankle is progressing more slowly than they hoped.

Today's game was fun and frustrating in equal measures. In the second half, we seemed perfectly willing to let them shoot to their heart's content from deep. They did just that and hit a bunch of uncontested (or close to it) three-pointers. It was fun seeing Elvis go off and nice to see Forsythe contribute (his dime in the lane to Moore was sweet). Cool that Moore had another 20+-point game.

But the defense for much of the game was lacking (Moser thought so, too).

I feel comfortable saying we have more talent and scoring potential than last season and that’s encouraging.

But we’re going to have major problems defending in the front court.

Hopefully we can counteract that by going small and taking advantage of mismatches.

Colston: Exactly my thoughts right now. My concern is I don’t think mist nights we will be competitive going small. This is why i Believe wague may be a key to the team and maybe cole’s development. Cole is taller and thicker than moore and really athletic. I think he could play some small ball 5. If so he and moore together inside might work well. I wish atak had 20 pounds on him because that kid can play But man is he skinny

Moser’s teams get better defensively through the year usually so we will see. I am encouraged though.
