Gotta hand it to this team...they truly haven't given up. Pretty hard to fire Moser if he makes the NCAA tourney with this bunch, though can't say I'd be excited about it if Fears isn't retained. It's been depressing to get slaughtered in conference play for what feels like a decade now, but this has somehow looked like a well-coached team for the past couple weeks. Shame we took two months off.

Stuck in a situation where I will undoubtedly be cheering for us to win and make the tourney, but also think it's likely not the best thing for the program unless we can get hot in the tourney. We flatlined in the portal last year after the NCAA tourney shaft, and I'm not sure sneaking in and getting quickly bounced would be enough to spark excitement.

Let’s not get it twisted. If you make dumb plays to lose one game it might be on the players, but when the team does that consistently over 4 years it’s on the head coach.

You could also argue that because of the constant turnover that it is not Moser. He is getting one to two year rentals. Just a thought

Yeah, that’s the big silver lining assuming Moser stays another season. PM clearly has some deficiencies but having an actual P5 caliber front court would pay enormous dividends.

Is he going to be good enough as a true freshman to be better than like Tanner Groves was a few years ago? His highlight are awesome, but going from OTE to the SEC is a huge jump.

Do you think it should take three or four years for a coach to teach players not to make idiotic plays? I mean, even before the portal, the top programs and coaches frequently had to adjust annually after losing guys to the draft.

This isn’t unique to Oklahoma. Everyone is. But they seem to be able to run an inbounds play and not melt down at the end of games.

I'd be happy to have him, but I don't think he's the type of player you keep a coach for if you otherwise wouldn't have. Throw in Fears and an NCAA tournament appearance and I'll be okay with keeping Moser for another year, though not a significant extension.

love this week of basketball, the Atlantic Sun championship game going back and fourth between Lipscomb and North Alabama.

Sometimes this week is the best. Conference games down to the wire and more ‘upsets’ in this week than next. SEC has 14 teams that could hypothetically win 1-2 games and get to Friday (best day of the week imo).
