GAME 32 - OKLAHOMA (19-12) vs GEORGIA (20-11) 8:30pm CST on SEC NETWORK (the Post Season has Arrived)

I was wondering about that. I haven’t seen them play but that is really odd. Have you seen them? Is it a case where they are great athletes but still developing as basketball players?
harper is a 6'6 PG but he can't shoot .. the other is a 6'9 shooter / kd type but is very raw ..

and they don't have good coaching

I have a friend who was a major college basketball coach. We were talking about the deficiencies OU had trom a talent standpoint before the season.

I asked him if OU could make the tournament. He said not based on personnel. He said that often in the business a lot, coaches have their back is against the wall and teams respond by playing above their talent level. He said he wouldn’t be surprised if that happened with this team.

After the Kentucky, game, the moving crew had their truck backed into Porter’s driveway. The coaching job he did at Ole Miss in the road, Texas, a slumping Missouri, and Georgie have been outstanding. He’s still a spazz, but his energy and sideline communication has definitely changed. I also noticed assistants who have typically been quiet with Porter, take initiative and help communicate for him. Hump did that yesterday with Fears.

It's not like he's a freshman. He came in an experienced but flawed player. Neither Huggins nor Oats got him fixed in one season, either.

This.

In the same vein that some use Uzan/Oweh as examples that Moser can’t develop, guess others can say Wague is an example that Huggins and Oats can’t develop… or maybe players typically get a lot better as upperclassmen.

ESPN has us at 89% chance to get in.
"Missing starting big Sam Godwin again because of a knee injury, Jeremiah Fears (29 points) and Oklahoma made a comeback against Georgia in Wednesday's late SEC tourney opener. The Sooners' NCAA tournament odds rose sharply from 72% to 89% with the victory -- seemingly solidifying a tourney trip, barring the unexpected. Their résumé is better than we would probably expect from a 12-loss squad anyway: The Sooners rank around 40th in both SOR and WAB, with eight wins over top-50 teams and 12 over the top 100, while 11 of their 12 losses have been against top-50 opponents. But they still went into Wednesday ranked a shockingly low 14th in the SEC in NET; not even the behemoth of all conferences can accommodate that many tourney entries. That might not matter after knocking off UGA, but in case OU needs more wins, it will look to avenge last month's loss to Kentucky next. (Updated March 12 at 11:58 p.m.)"

Is there any world where OU doesn’t get it because “The SEC shouldn’t have that many teams make the tournament?”
