Indy, I think the problem was with the personnel on the floor. Goodine is probably the worst defensive player on the team. Why would you have him on the floor in that situation?

I don’t disagree. I would have had him off the floor. But it’s REALLY easy for us to second guess when they don’t make the stop.

We played a Top 4 seed, in what amounted to a road game, and lost by one point.

When has that happened under Moser before? I consider this progress and a sign we might actually be a threat in the tourney.

They ran multiple screens to get him open. Some can blame on pm, but some is clearly players.

Who knows maybe this loss could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. With a win it would have likely moved us up to the 8/9 seed line. This should keep us at either a 10 seed or 11 seed last four bye. Matchups this year are a lot more favorable in 2nd round against either a 2 seed or 3 seed.

Heckuva play by Oweh. The play happened fast. It looked like Oweh's guy got blindsided with a screen, which gave him the free run. I could be wrong there.... obviously Elvis let him turn the corner. I'm sure he knew if he touched Oweh a foul woulda been called.

Oh well, we got what we came to Nashville for. These guys have fought their a$$e$ off. I have enjoyed OUHoops the last couple of weeks like I haven't in a while. With the right matchups, these guys can make a run and win a game or two, because we know they won't stop fighting. I'm disappointed but not frustrated.

Totally agree. Losing by one might be the best possible outcome.

They most certainly didn’t try. With five seconds left, if you just double him on the inbounds play, he can’t even get the ball. And we didn’t guard the inbounder, so we had an extra guy available to double.

I wonder whether they were supposed to. But it might have surprised them that he didn’t line up on baseline. Not sure.
