You’re a total embarrassmentStop it. They were barely a JV team. They only had two starters and about 8 playable players. This was a total embarrassment.

Lon wasn't winning 20 games as much his last 4-5 years.20 wins doesn't mean anything. that's a pre 90's thing. cosmetic at best when everyone plays 30+ games.
not winning 20 games is more of a "stat"

He also had two seasons cut short by COVID where he likely would have won 20. Not that 20 is saying much, and his last few heats were disappointing, but let’s not pretend that he got to coach 35 games, which is what it took Moser to barely eek out a 20th win. And also, if Lon took the noncon approach Moser does, he could have easily picked up two or three extra cheap wins each year.In his last 5 seasons, Lon had the same amount of 20 win seasons as 20 loss seasons.

Again, check the noncon schedules. And like I said, I’m not suggesting Lon’s last five years were good. But he didn’t schedule wins like Moser. And Lon had one awful season that drags his overall winning percentage downWinning percentage over last 5 seasons:
Lon - 54%
Moser - 56%

Noncon. TEvans and others have posted years of data on the noncon SOS. It’s not remotely close. Lon had years where we were top 30 noncon. Moser is closer to 300. He plays 7 games each year that are impossible to lose and a few others that you’d have to really crap the bed to lose.View attachment 3045
2026 schedule was really bad but the rest were very close. Source: Warren nolan

No, you’re not addressing my point. It is, in fact, a fact that Moser pads his win totals in a way Lon didn’t do. And while you talk about season long SOS, the committee expressly factors noncon SOS more heavily. So that’s also a fact.Season long SOS is way more relevant to season long win total. I am posting facts and you are just posting opinions.

10 years ago today was that disaster at the Final Four in Houston. It showed up in my FB memories. The only thing that stat proves is how bad we have sucked since the 2016 final four game where we were embarrassed. We still haven’t recovered. The program has been dead ever since that day.
There was no shame in that loss. Villanova caught fire. Just like when we kicked their ass in Hawaii by 20+ in the beginning of that same season10 years ago today was that disaster at the Final Four in Houston. It showed up in my FB memories.
Agreed. But there has been for just about everything since. There was no shame in that loss. Villanova caught fire. Just like when we kicked their ass in Hawaii by 20+ in the beginning of that same season
